Learn more and support the Dr. Sunny Patel Foundation

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Our hearts were broken yesterday to learn that classmate Dr. Sunny Patel passed away after a long battle with Ewing’s sarcoma. Sunny was a spark of joy among us, and we will all deeply miss him.

Today, his sister Yesha Patel started a Gofundme campaign, to fulfill his dream of starting a foundation to aid in-need families of children with cancer. We are moved by the outpouring of support that has already been shown in just a few hours, and hope it continues to grow. Please join us in celebrating his memory by donating what you are able and sharing the campaign. Details can be found at the link in our bio.

Rest In Peace, Dr. Patel. by @mcg_2020

Everyone, meet the Medical College of Georgia MD Class of 2020! Here we are at two other big moments during our med school careers, our White Coat Ceremony and Halfway-to-Graduation event. Sadly we couldn't get everyone together again for an in-person Hooding Ceremony, but this incredible class deserves recognition for years of hard work and sacrifice that got us to this point. It's been a long road, filled with both hardship and achievement, made exponentially better by the friendships that developed along the way. Congratulations, Class of 2020- let's go save the world! 🥼😷🥂🩺🎊🦠🎓

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 2020!!! WE DID IT!!! Words cannot express how proud we are of all the incredible matches announced today. Since we weren't able to celebrate together as a class in true MCG Match Day fashion, here are some clips from virtual match day of our class finding out where they will be continuing their medical training! SOUND ON (but low unless you want to blow out your eardrums). Visit the link in the bio for more pictures and videos from today, and be sure to drop a pin on our interactive map and share where you'll be starting July 1st!
