Se cercate un thriller scoppiettante, da divorare in un soffio e che vi intrattenga, "La seconda luna di miele" è esattamente ciò che vi serve! 🛳️💥

Per il loro decimo anniversario di matrimonio, Andre decide di regalare alla moglie una crociera di lusso per una seconda luna di miele. Sembra un gesto romantico, ma dietro questa facciata si nasconde un piano spietato: ha architettato nei minimi dettagli il delitto perfetto per sbarazzarsi della moglie, considerandola ormai un peso perché malata, lagnosa e non più la bellezza di una volta. Quello che non ha previsto, però, è che anche il piano più diabolico può iniziare a sgretolarsi... 👀

Ho amato follemente questo libro! È scorrevolissimo, ha una dinamicità pazzesca e capitoli brevi che vi terranno incollati alle pagine.

Uno degli aspetti che ho apprezzato di più è che il lettore conosce fin da subito le intenzioni di Andre: la suspense non nasce dal chiedersi chi sia il colpevole, ma dal vedere i dettagli del suo piano e come finirà per ritorcersi contro di lui.

Andre è un personaggio viscido e odioso come pochi: un opportunista calcolatore che pensa solo ai propri interessi. Assistere al crollo del suo "delitto perfetto" è stata una soddisfazione pura! La storia regala colpi di scena inaspettati, con un karma che colpisce nel modo migliore possibile 😍

Ho apprezzato anche la presenza di personaggi bizzarri come Olive, che con la sua personalità riesce a regalare qualche momento di leggerezza e persino qualche sorriso. Inoltre, la prima metà del romanzo è un tesissimo thriller domestico, mentre la seconda diventa un avvincente thriller legale: un mix perfetto per i miei gusti!

Il finale è davvero soddisfacente e chiude la storia nel modo più appagante possibile 😏

Insomma, "La seconda luna di miele" è un thriller perfetto se cercate una lettura goduriosa, magnetica, capace anche di far riflettere, ma soprattutto una storia di vendetta e di karma. Consigliato 💯

Imagine scrolling through holiday snaps and spotting someone who should be impossible to find because they're supposed to be dead...

**FULL REVIEW**

This was a fast-paced, suspenseful read that kept me turning the pages to uncover the truth.

The story is told through multiple POVs, beginning with Shannon, whose fiancé Alan drowned in a boating accident more than twenty years ago. She rebuilt her life after the tragedy, raised their daughter alone, and eventually found a way to move forward. So when she's scrolling through her daughter's holiday photos and catches sight of a man who looks a lot like Alan in the background, her world is turned upside down.

What follows is a tale of secrets, lies, betrayals and long-buried truths. As the story unfolds, we learn what really happened all those years ago while, in the present day, a quest for answers and revenge begins to gather momentum.

I particularly enjoyed the way the tension steadily built throughout the novel and the multiple perspectives helped keep the mystery moving at a satisfying pace. The twists kept me engaged, but the real highlight was the finale. That showdown was absolutely glorious and provided a fittingly dramatic conclusion to the story.

A gripping, entertaining thriller packed with deception, revenge and hidden secrets.

✨BOOK REVIEW — The Man in the Photo by McGarvey Black✨
Gifted - Thank you to Zooloo’s Book Tours and McGarvey Black for my copy and having me on the tour. 🖤

Okay, the premise of this one had me IMMEDIATELY. Imagine scrolling through your daughter’s holiday photos and spotting your fiancé in the background… the fiancé who supposedly died more than twenty years ago?! 😳

This was exactly the kind of psychological thriller I love — one where you immediately have a million questions and absolutely need answers.

I was hooked on the mystery surrounding Alex. If he really was alive, where had he been all these years? Why had everyone believed he drowned? And, most importantly, why would he allow the woman he supposedly loved to grieve him and raise their daughter alone?! The further the story went, the more suspicious everything became and I was constantly changing my mind about what had actually happened.

I really liked how the book played with the idea of whether you can ever truly know someone. One photograph completely destroys everything the main character has believed for more than two decades, and from there the secrets just keep coming. 👀

The Australia connection also made the mystery even more intriguing because suddenly something that had been buried in the past felt very much present again. There were plenty of moments where I thought I had worked out where the story was heading… only for another piece of information to make me rethink it.

And THAT ENDING. 😳 I absolutely did not expect everything to come together the way it did. Exactly the kind of final reveal I want from a psychological thriller!

Dark, addictive, twisty and ridiculously easy to fly through. A very easy 5 stars from me!

📚 Book Tour 📚

Very First Wives Club meets She-Devil.

Shannon and Margot are cheated and the man in their lives has gone. The fact that they didn't meet sooner shows how clever Alan was in his games and manipulation. They deserved better...they deserve revenge.

Their adventures seem fun and I think it'd be a bit of an adrenaline rush to be right there with them. Recruiting Ranee and Lynette just adds to the suspense and fun.

I had guessed some of what Alan was doing but not the detail and it's the details and twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. Would make a good movie!
