Three June sessions of Words on Fire Writing Camp for Teens are done, with great memories, awesome stories, and lots of fun! Our theme this year is connections: from connecting story hero with opponent to connecting with each other. Many connections were made! There are still openings in August sessions! Happy Birthday to Tractor Zack!!! I'm so excited to welcome this beautiful new book into the world! A warm story of resilience and community, "Tractor Zack on Sunshine Kibbutz" is about finding purpose and realizing that everyone has something important to give.

As Tractor Zack says, "I'm a GREAT helper. A fine chuggy friend. Loving my job VERY well to the end!"

Thank You to Betsy Bird for the wonderful shout out:

Why do we write? ...a family dressed up as my book Bathe the Cat for Halloween!! Mom told me their 1 year old daughter reads the book hundreds of times a day and kisses "meow meow" goodnight every night. Here she is as Meow Meow. Check out the dog as the sister in her dinosaur suit and Dad make a great bar of soap!!! #kidlit #happyhalloween🎃 #authorsofinstagram📚 #picturebook by @mcgintyalice
