I’m am gutted by what is happening in Washington….but you have to love your country even when things are hard. May we become a more perfect union. God bless the USA and God bless our troops. 🇺🇸❤️ taken in Sand Hills Beach, Scituate, MA by @mchampigny

We saw the Broadway show “Come From Away” last weekend. It is incredible, highly recommend! It is the story of September 11th when the US airspace was shut down after the terrorist attack and hundreds of planes were diverted to Newfoundland, Canada. The quiet town of Gander (population 9,000) ballooned to 16,000 people overnight, people who were frightened, hungry and anxious. They were from all over the world and spoke different languages and practiced different religions and had no idea what was happening or when they might be able to go home. What did the people of Gander do? They fed, clothed and cared for the “plane people”. For days. It was a great reminder to me about how important it is to care for our neighbors, regardless of who they are. While our current administration bullies and demeans Canada and often unfairly treats immigrants, we would do well to remember how others helped America on 9/11. “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” How we treat people truly matters:) taken in The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts by @mchampigny
