Five years. And I still have to pinch myself. 🇮🇹

My fifth Mille Miglia supporting @the_fast_lane_club and somehow the feeling of disbelief never leaves. That this is the job. That these are the roads. That these are the people I get to share it with.

Every year I come home with a camera full of frames and a list of people I’m genuinely grateful to now call friends.

If there’s one thing five years at this event has taught me, it’s that the journey really is everything. The conversations over dinner, the early morning starts, the moment a classic Ferrari overtakes you at golden hour through the Italian hills.

There really is no race like it in the world.

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming @astonmartin_leeds to Birdsall House for an exclusive client test drive experience.

Guests enjoyed the opportunity to explore the beautiful country roads surrounding the estate, taking in sweeping views across the Yorkshire Wolds from behind the wheel of some truly exceptional cars, including the DBX S, Vantage S, DB12 Volante and Vanquish.

After their drive, they returned to Birdsall House to enjoy our warm hospitality, with coffee, brunch and lunch served throughout the day.

The Aston Martins may have been the stars of the road, but our resident peacocks were determined not to be outshone, proudly displaying their feathers and stealing a little of the spotlight for themselves.

Out with the old and in with the older.

After a lot of deliberation I finally found my dream 996 C4S! And I love it, basalt black, turbo twists and a driving experience only something of this era can provide.

Despite the mixed opinions on the looks of these cars, I think it’s quite possibly the best shape 911 ever made, and I’m so grateful to call it mine. I’m looking forward to making some subtle modifications to this car over the coming months and I can’t wait to share the journey with you all 🙌🏼
