My mom is 80 today!!!
For those who don’t know her- here is a little taste of Cindy☺️
I don’t know anyone with her energy, determination and spirit.

She has 37.5 grandchildren and she is a regular at ALL of their events.
She has Camp Mimi Papa every summer that rivals any summer/church camp every year. Including a theme, crafts, Tshirts that are washed each night for them to wear the next day, service project, etiquette, a hike, laser tag, journals, devotional & special last night.

She raised 8 kids - without a cell phone.
She mothered hundreds more. Neighbors, friends, missionaries, football players, Ghanaian children…

Few people (man or woman) know sports like my mom.
Few people are as competitive as my mom.
Few people are as selfless as my mom.
She has hundreds of traditions… truly.
She loves the scriptures and is diligent in her study and devotion to learning.
She is silly and fun.
She has welcomed COUNTLESS people into her home. Fed them, let them stay with her, live with her.
She is passionate about her community & country.
She can still keep up with 3 year olds in a tiger costume… at 80.
She has been to THOUSANDS of BYU games football & basketball & gymnastics especially. 40+ years sitting in the same football seats (until this year 😡) Singing every fight song. The only years she missed she was in Ghana watching the game at 3 AM!!!!
If you need something- she will literally be there for you.
She has devoted her life to her family & Jesus Christ. I can honestly say I don’t know anyone more authentic in their efforts than my mom.
So- how did we celebrate her?
Started with a dinner …. Mom thought it would just be the local kids, one by one each of her 8 children showed up to dinner. She thought this was the best gift😂

Later, all 8 of her children showed up on her doorstep in their pajamas ready for a sleep over. We played games and Mike brought a bedtime story for her to read. It had many “f-words”💨🤣 She had to say the word out loud- no words to describe what happened that night. People may have wet their pants….
The weekend ended with a Cosgrave family party! It was the best time celebrating the best mom🩵

HE COMES HOME WEDNESDAY!!!!! 🎉🙏🙌

You probably thought,” that went so fast”….. it did not! I missed this boy every single day! I always say having a missionary come home is better than the day they were born, because I never knew what I was missing before they were born!!!

This is my last missionary. Serving a mission is hard. Allowing my child to serve a mission is harder. I’ve done both. So why do it? For me, I believe that God sent His Son because he loves me. If I want to learn how to love others the way God loves, being willing to let my child go teach people about a God who loves them and Jesus Christ who loves them enough to die for them is one way I can do that.

Each time my heart misses them, I reflect on why I am doing this. I do this because belief that Heavenly Parents and Jesus Christ know me and love me has brought peace and joy in my life. If my child can bring that same thing to another person- it seems worth it. The bonus is, my kids have come home with a greater love for people and their cultures and way of life. They have become more grateful for what they have and more determined to help those in need. They love the people and the places they have served. This is a priceless outcome.

Happy Birthday Madie!!!🎉🩷 The best part about having my sons get married is the women they bring into our family. If you know Madie & Gretchen - you know why this is true!

Madie is gentle & so strong. She cares so deeply about others- especially people over 70🥹. She is SO FUN & the best hype girl. Madie is always up for fun, she is also someone you can have deep and meaningful conversations with.
She has only been in our family for a year and I can’t imagine us without her!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to this 23 year old, husband, son (& in law),brother (& in law), cousin, friend, student, adventurer, try and do almost anythinger, athlete, escape room escaper, and overall good guy!!

I often describe Stockton as party in a person & he is fun for sure. He is also tender and humble & loves deeply. He is also deeply loved!!

10 years ago I dropped off this brave girl in Los Angeles.🤯
Feb 1 we did it again. 😭🥳
This past year has been hard for all of us, especially Sabrina. I have been in awe of her strength, wisdom, courage, compassion hope & love. Seeing her light shine brightly again has been inspiring!
Happy Birthday Sabrina!🎉28 is going to be another fresh start in the city of angels!

This feels SO vulnerable - I am doing a post about myself… (thank you @snyderem for the encouragement).

I am teaching a class at the Alpine Workshop @alpineworkshop Thurs night at 7:00! We will be learning about a skill that can improve every single relationship you have- truly every relationship! Learning to listen to understand in a way the other person feels you have heard and seen them is VITAL!! It is something I’ve been working to learn for the past 10 years. I honestly believe if I can do this ANYONE can learn!!

H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y SEAN🎉
There isn’t even a question who is the fun one in our family- it’s Sean. No one loves an escape room, a vacation, a ski/golf/movie/….fill in any activity (except maybe a parade) more than Sean!

His laugh is contagious. His love of being a dad is second to none. His work ethic and willingness to do hard things is not just impressive to me, but I’m also deeply grateful.

Happy Birthday Gretchen!!💕🎉💕

Gretchen is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. Her heart is gold. She is so much fun and SO talented! She can knit, bake (her bread and cookies are AMAZING), cut/color/do hair among so many other things!

She is so supportive of Sean and our whole family. She even brought Madie into our family! I love her so much and feel so blessed to have her as a Haskett!!! by @mchaskett

It’s Elder Haskett’s birthday today!!!!
💙I can’t believe he is 20. 🤯 Seth is one of the most likable humans I know. He is quiet…until he is very comfortable with you. He is gentle…unless you are competing against him. He can be a deep thinker…and is so goofy.
💙Seth is a loyal friend and has surrounded himself with wonderful friends. He loves people and has a soft heart.
💙His mission has stretched him in so many ways. I’ve loved watching him wrestle and grow.
💙When Seth was just about 4 he made the most amazing discovery- he was born on his birthday!🤣 I’m so glad he was. Our family has been forever changed because of his soft heart, ability to deeply connect and his whacky personality.

1 YEAR DOWN🎉🙌🎉 Elder Haskett has been serving in the Peru Lima Central mission for 1 year. Missions are hard and his has been no exception. It’s amazing how when your focus is on helping others and Jesus Christ all the hard becomes holy and worth it. I am SO proud of this boy and the man he is becoming. And I miss him so much. If you have a min- please drop him an email I know he would LOVE IT!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 💕🎉 to the newest member of the Haskett Family! I can’t name all the things I love about this beautiful woman.

She loves pickles and spice, yet she is the sweetest human you will ever meet.
She loves Coke & any food you put in front of her- which I love so much.
She is SO much fun to be with & she is also one of the most empathetic and genuine people I know.
She is LOYAL and fiercely protects the people she loves.
She is talented and smart.
She can literally sleep anywhere & loves the color pink.
