— “ANGEL” PROJECT: Angel Project is an ongoing series of experimental films deriving from the immediacy of the internet diary and the sense memory of consumer video. Originating from the director’s own video diaries, this first part of the project (produced from June 2025 to June 2026) explores ideas and feelings surrounding the efficacy of artifice, the expression of identity, and the credence of personal truth through kaleidoscopic travelogues, structuralist abstractions, jagged video art, and transcendental daytime horror.

— “ANGELIEN”: This music video directed, filmed, animated and edited by visual artist, Nyx Alexandra is inspired by the whimsical mumblings of her half alien, half angel friend named Yanski who is a visual artist and music composer from South Korea. Yanski composed and performed the ethereal sounds and music for this film
— “LOVE IS FREE”: This two minute visual composition gently murmurs to its audience a reminder that fear imprisons true love and freedom is achieved when we are able to greet our darkness with a smile and set it free.

Without further adieu, I am thrilled to announce our full lineup for the second Video Art Showcase of 2026. It is another impeccable line up of the strange and poetic, the sublime and the surreal. Films that will inspire and incense you.

Bring an open mind and be dazzled by the audacity of this slate, homegrown by filmmakers right here in Southern California.

Live Musical Accompaniment provided by @whatever_heaven_
& @georgies_paper_boat.

In addition to films, this “vaudeville” evening will be aided by the Classic Magical Stylings of Zachary Rossini (@zaqsnack), who will transport us back to 1926 with his vintage sleight of hand charm. As well as an immersive avant garde performance by poet Victoria Oloshunde (@eccentric_vic) that will catapult us into the future and beyond.

Need Poetry On Demand? Vessel Poetics (@vesselpoetics) will also be joining us with their mighty typewriter to create for you a poem about anything you desire.

Through advancements in modern technology, @shaynes.art has developed a new contraption of scientific and artistic wonder. A device that can translate the electrical impulses of organic matter into audible sound. It’s the Incredible Singing Plants! Do not miss out on this demonstration of a one-of-a-kind technology that must be seen to be believed.

Can’t get enough films? Need to take some home with you? The Physical Media Society (@physicalmediasociety) will also be there selling DVDs and VHS’s of all kinds, so get them while supplies last.

All this and MORE, only at the Video Art Showcase. One night only. And only at the Lopez Urban Farm.
