I’m forever gonna be grateful for what a lil ministry on southeastern’s campus did in my life. Chi Alpha showed me what the love of Jesus felt like from people for the first time. Before, I lived in isolation, trying to follow God all on my own and failing over and over again. Then the body of Christ became something I didn’t just read about but experienced. I saw people that didn’t just talk about their faith but actually live it. I saw others freed from sin that I thought was impossible to live without. If you’re afraid of going to the people that can lead you closer to Jesus, whether it’s shame, doubt, or disbelief, this is your sign to go. God loves you. by @mckennede

Another retreat with my beautiful communityyy. This fall breakaway I watched some wonderful people surrender their lives to God in new ways. Lives were changed, addictions were broken, and the hope of Jesus was received. I’m so incredibly proud of every single girl in my small group that chose Jesus this weekend:) by @mckennede

We live in a world where there’s a lot of unimaginable suffering and it is too great for us to help, that’s true. But it’s not too great for the Lord. In the past two weeks, I was part of a team of missionaries in San Juan Del Rio, Mexico that brought the Love of Jesus to the broken, lost, and addicted.

There was a man named mario sat on the side of the road waiting for his shift to start at work that told us a bit of his story. He had lost a lot of family members through death and kidnapping, and had lived alone for many years, simply sitting down with him, and hearing his story and praying with him had him in tears because of the loneliness he felt. He found a friend in Jesus that day and had somebody to rely on and to console with, and he was no longer alone.

there was a woman I met in the rehab center. While I was speaking, she looked at me like I was saying something she’d never heard before. She hadn’t seen her children in years because of everything addiction has stolen from her. and she’s been living in the rehab that we went to for months. addiction had broken up and stolen everything that she had until all she could look forward to was death. She told me she contemplated taking her life last December but something prevented her from doing it she sat down and listened as I told a little bit of my story with addiction in my family. She broke down, and finally realized the key to beating this addiction is loving Jesus more than the drugs. She found Hope that she had never received before through Jesus Christ.

There was a 15 year-old boy in a youth rehab center that we visited. I watched as his eyes lit up while learning about the fathers, forgiveness and acceptance. He told us about how his father wasn’t good to him, how he’s been abandoned, how he doesn’t understand what a father’s love feels like. And he received it that day when understanding it through Jesus Christ.

There was a woman in a hospice center, whose right arm was paralyzed who asked for prayer. It was a short prayer in English. It wasn’t loud or magnificent. And yet when I stood up I watched her pick up her hand and interlace her fingers to pray. THAT is the power of the one true God! by @mckennede

Some beautiful moments from life recently<3
The Lord has genuinely been so good. Recently I’ve got to see lives changed for the first time by the love of Jesus. For some reason it was really hard for me to understand that other people could accept the Lord and be healed by Him and here He is proving it time and time again. He’s a God that meets every person’s needs no matter the circumstances :)) Life is so filled with joy with Him by @mckennede
