This is probably one of the toughest seasons I’ve ever been through.

Tougher than my car accident recovery, because at least then I knew my body would do what it was designed to do…heal

But what do you do when you don’t know what’s next? When you can’t see the plan, you don’t understand the process, and all you have is a word from God?

The Lord called me to move to Chicago this past May

No job
No place to live
No familiar faces
No safety net

Just faith 🥹

For the last 2.5 weeks, I’ve cried more than I care to admit…trying to understand why I’m here and what God is doing in my life.

I’ve questioned, prayed, wrestled with uncertainty, and sat with feelings I can’t even fully put into words.

This is the most vulnerable I’ve been in a long time. And if I’m being honest…some days, I don’t feel strong. I don’t have some beautiful revelation at the end of every prayer…

Sometimes, I’m just a daughter trying to trust her Father when nothing around her makes sense.

But I’m learning that faith isn’t just trusting God when He reveals the destination. Sometimes, it’s trusting Him when He only gives you the next step.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7

I don’t have all the answers. I’m still in the middle of the story. But I refuse to let this season convince me that God has abandoned me…

I don’t know what He’s building in me, what He’s preparing me for, or why this journey has to look the way it does.

But I know who called me here.

And right now, I’m choosing to trust Him…even through the tears 🤍

If you’re in a season where you can’t see what God is doing, I hope this reminds you that you’re not alone.

We can be honest about how hard the journey is without giving up on the One who called us to walk it

The story is still being written, and the Author is God. Follow along and watch Him work 🌈🤍✍🏽
