Today, I had to say goodbye to what some may say just a “Dog” but to me it was a best friend, and I truly don’t think words could ever explain the heartbreak that comes with losing a best friend who has been by your side for so many years and I truly never thought this day would come. From the moment I was little he was always there through every stage of life comforting me on hard days to even celebrating the happy ones. Some of my favorite memories will always be our amazing Halloween costumes every year and all the dog shows we entered where he would win undoubtedly lol. If you were to ask any friends or family they would tell you He wasn’t just any kind of dog he was one that everyone knew and had a connection with in some way. Growing up with him was one of the greatest blessings of my life, and having to put him down today was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. A piece of my childhood went with him today, but the love, memories, and bond we shared will stay in my heart forever. I will miss him more than words could ever describe, but something makes me happy inside knowing he won’t be suffering anymore. We love you skeeter Jo and you most definitely will never ever be forgotten. 🤍 by @mckenziejothompson2
