Let me introduce you to a very inspiring individual, @mcmaster_dj

Summer of 2023, Jamie rang me and told me he wanted to get fitter and healthier 💪

Typical potential client phone call, not quite sure what they want but know that change is needed

So long story short, Jamie signed up to a 12-week program and we got to work

Whenever we started working together, Jamie had never been to a gym in his life

He had plenty experience on bikes (hence the shit posture) so had a good baseline in terms of cardiovascular fitness but in terms of strength, muscle mass & understanding basic movement patterns was almost non-existent

Jamie also struggled with addiction, takes an addict to know an addict ‘ey? 😎

Fast forward 18 months…

Jamie has become one of my best friends, we’ve been through trenches together to say the least

We’ve run multiple 10k’s, Half & Full Marathons together, dedicating early Saturday & Sunday mornings to long distance runs 🏃

He’s 4x stronger than he used to be in terms of squats, deadlifts, bench pressing and other compound movements 🏋️

In June last year we done our first Hyrox Sim together with a time of 1 hr 2 mins ⏱️

And last weekend, Jamie and I flew to Amsterdam where he successfully completed his first Official Hyrox Men’s Solo event 🔥

Our journey together so far has been one of the best I’ve experienced as a Coach and I’m extremely proud to call him my friend

When you put two people together who push each other to their absolute limits, they simply become unstoppable ✋

That has certainly been the case for Jamie and I and I couldn’t be happier with what he’s overcome in the past 18 months not just physically but mentally too ⛰️

Iron sharpens Iron

So I just wanted to say thank you. To my client, my brother & my best friend ❤️

Here’s to many more races, competitions, trips away & a wonderful friendship 🤝

The Chaos Academy has always and will always be about brotherhood, it’s far more than a 12-week plan or body transformation

As the old saying goes, “It must be time for another one” 👀

Tullymore Trail Marathon ⛰️

For me, running has always been a solo sport 🏃‍♂️

Every race I do I go out with the intentions of always beating the next person in front of me and I try to sustain this throughout the whole distance and see where I end up

Yesterday was different!

For the first time, it wasn’t about me anymore ✖️

This was about watching a man that I’ve coached for 16 months achieve something that 99% of people never dare to do 🙌

Since I started coaching Jamie, we’ve become very close friends 🤝

We trained together for this for months, so yesterday it was time to stick together.

This year alone we’ve achieved a lot…

4x Half Marathons 🔥 (And about 50 in training 😂)
1:02 Hyrox Simulator 🏋️‍♂️
1x Hardest Marathon in Ireland 🏃‍♂️

We have made sacrifices, dedicated nearly every weekend to getting up early and running for 2-3 hours in the morning

Faced a lot of adversity in our personal lives, been struck with every illness going in the lead up to this race and had our fair share of injuries

However nothing fucking stopped us!

All the shit that people don’t see, every rep, every hard choice, every mile 🎯

When two men come together and force each other to be better and do more, they become unstoppable 💙

Huge shoutout as well to @dylanshieldz for completing the UltraMarathon yesterday. I had my doubts, you went out there and showed yourself what you’re capable of 😎

If you want to start achieving things you can be seriously proud of in your life…
