I had so much fun at @genreblast 2026.

The DARKMODE pilot I co-wrote with John Squires aka @freddyinspace won Honorable Mention!

Got to meet my @scriptbutcher client @mcnulty_ryan Ryan McNulty. His work TEETHBURGER was performed live at the fest and took Runner Up for Best Feature Script. Congrats, Ryan!

Watched a ton of wild movies.

Saw one filmmaker propose to another.

Made new friends. Caught up with old ones.

Welcoming. Encouraging. Inspiring.

Filmmaker Josh Stifter said it best: “Tons of weirdos just stoked to see weird stuff.”

Had an incredible time at @genreblast X this weekend! This was one of the absolute best film fest experiences I've had the pleasure of having- awesome filmmakers showing off their gnarly films. Teethburger placed 2nd in the feature screenplay competition and an excerpt was read before an audience at a live table read. Hell of a way to kick off my 29th year on this rock!

Congrats to my @scriptbutcher client @mcnulty_ryan ! His feature script TEETHBURGER is a finalist at @genreblast .

In the same category. As ENCRYPTIDS. A script I co-wrote with John Squires.

I’ve never had my work in a festival alongside a script I consulted on. So cool!

Ryan’s script is as unhinged as the title suggests. He’s working on bringing the film to life soon. Hoping this fires up the production grill!

I've been a father for one week now- one very long, very fulfilling week. Cooper is a beautiful, healthy, perfect little boy. Keelia has never looked more beautiful in my eyes. It was a hard pregnancy for her, but she was amazing in the delivery room and has been an amazing and loving mother so far.

All of my anxieties melted away the second I heard Coop cry, a second after he entered the world. The sleepless nights are so worth it. I love my little guy. by @mcnulty_ryan

Well, she did it.

It took an eventful 3 years. Keelia weathered major surgery, working terrible, underpaid full time jobs, numerous financial setbacks, debilitating health issues, commuting for hours back and forth to DC, not a few breakdowns, and pregnancy to boot- but Keelia earned her master's degree.

Every day, I'm amazed by this beautiful creature's ability to shrug off these roadblocks and just keep going, even when pursuing this degree damn near killed her. She fought tooth and nail to get here, and I know it'll pay off in spades. I know that resilience will be passed right down to Cooper in a month or so.

Ryan and I made our first game together! It is a short point & click horror game heavily inspired by games like Harvester and other point & click games from the 90's. This project was part of my Master's capstone at AU and I love that Ryan was able to be part of it with me. We are definitely planning to make more games and even full sized games in the future.
