Last night Hope was inducted into the Summit County Hall of Fame with 3 former NFL players, Former Akron U’s men’s basketball coach, the best Akron U female basketball ever and the Legendary Jeff Howard, the most successful track and cross country coach in the state of Ohio. Hope was surrounded by all of her closest people in her life that have loved and supported her through this journey….family, teammates, all of her high school coaches and her college coach and his family. Still hard to believe 15 years ago Diana Morris introduced Hope to Girls on the Run and turned our little dancer into a runner! Every person that showed up last night to support her made a difference and impact on her life. God certainly blessed us with every single one of you and others that weren’t there but we will be forever grateful to (Dr. Locke, Coach Alesha Metzger, Coach Ryan Ladd) We love every single one of you. Special shout out to Coach Joe Eby for taking our daughter to levels of running most runners only ever dream about! Her decision to go to BW was one of the best decisions of her life. ❤️ taken in Summit County Sports Hall of Fame by @mcnuttmurphy

Happy 60th birthday to the matriarch of the Murphy family. The one and only Sandi Murphy!! We love you so much! Thank you for ALWAYS showing up for all of us. We are not sure how you manage to be a corporate attorney just about every hour of every day and still manage take time to show up to all our kids activities and make every one of us feel important and special. God broke the mold when He made you and we thank Him every day for blessing us with you! Love you Sandi! taken in Mogadore, Ohio by @mcnuttmurphy

Well…Everyone knows my dream retirement job was to drive the hot dog car… but I guess these cars will have to do for now. 😂 Motor and I got a part time job two days a week driving Aston Martins, Maserati’s, Bentleys, Rolls Royces that need to be serviced. We have met so many cool people and we are having a lot of fun. by @mcnuttmurphy

Have I mentioned that my mom is my hero? 85 1/2 and she did her 1st official 5k today! She has been on the other end doing all the cheering for kids, grandkids, her kids friends, grandkids friends and so many of our track and cc kids at Mogadore. I think when she was 82 I remember her at Hope’s cross country meet disappearing into the woods yelling I am going to catch her as she comes up this hill in the woods! 😳😂 It was such a great moment for her to get to hear all those cheers as we came down the hill. (Of course all she was worried about was that we had kept them all waiting . ) She got a trophy for her age group. 💪 She is still walking 2.5 miles a day and still push mows her own lawn. She continues to inspire me every day. Congratulations to Hope’s boyfriend Carter for winning the race! Special shout out to our Katie Lane for organizing this event! She brought back the Festival Race last year and it doubled in size this year!!! We are so proud of you Katie!!! taken in Mogadore Summer Festival by @mcnuttmurphy

We made it!! After 34 and 36 years we are retiring! It has been two weeks since our last day of school. I am still trying to process it all. So many emotions. We cannot thank our friends and colleagues for making our last few days, moments that we will never forget. These were the best years of our lives spent with the best friends we could have ever have asked for. Mr. And Mrs.Murphy Out!! taken in Green Middle School- Green, Ohio by @mcnuttmurphy

How can it be 25years since your last breath here on earth? It was a day I will never forget..what I was wearing, what I was teaching that day when I got the frantic call from mom at school. I was running around the hallways trying to find Motor and figure out how to get to the hospital as fast as I could. I was 3months pregnant with Hope. I know our time here on earth must seem like a blink of time in heaven but I have so much to tell you about my kids, and our family. Teaching has changed so much in 25 years. We have tv’s in our classrooms that we can write on and phones that we call anyone we want right from our desks!!! I know my kids never got the chance to know you but they know you through me and how you and mom showed us how to parent. (I think they think I am a little crazy at times… I am still undecided if that comes from you or mom.) Believe it or not Dad, I am going to retire from a profession that I love and you loved 12 days from now. I miss you dad. I know I could be bitter for not having a dad almost my whole adult life… but I am so thankful the Lord blessed me with a great dad for my first 30. taken in Doylestown, Ohio by @mcnuttmurphy

Last track meet ever for Mason.🥺 He finished 6th place in the MAC in the decathlon. He has been hurt most of the year and we were not sure he was going to be able to compete again so these last two days were a blessing from God. We were so thankful to get to watch him run one more time, smile with his teammates and just have fun competing one last time. 4 years went by so fast! Thank you Kent State track for choosing amazing friends and teammates for our son! taken in Ball State University by @mcnuttmurphy

Big day yesterday for the Murphy’s! Payton graduated from Medical School in Kansas and will complete her Residency as an ER Dr. with her fiancée Matt at Metro in Cleveland. Matt graduated from OU last year and since he is already a Dr. He was able to place Payton’s hood on her (a very cute moment) Mason graduated with his Bachelor’s in Business management from Kent State. The last 4 years were a blink of time. - So proud of both of them. * Of course we couldn’t have a day without a “Murphy Moment “. Mason’s roommate Josh (6’6) graduated in December. He gave Mason his cap and gown. We didn’t realize until yesterday morning he didn’t have a tassel…. So he wore Hope’s 2020 graduation tassel that never really made it to a true graduation ceremony! 😂 As Ava said yesterday- “Never a dull moment” Motor suggested (from Kansas) that he wear her 6 cords from college too! ) 🙄😂 taken in Kent State University by @mcnuttmurphy
