Last weekend in September, Carmel’s Arts & Design District comes alive for the Carmel International Arts Festival—a colorful celebration of creativity, culture, and community.

More than 100 professional artists—representing nine different mediums—fill the streets with imagination.

…and 2-D and 3-D works that invite you to stop, look a little longer, and see the world differently.

And then there’s the atmosphere…

Stroll along Main Street beneath a gorgeous bluebird sky.
Listen to culturally rich music drifting through the air.
Watch captivating dance performances.
Discover something delicious from the food vendors.
Meet artists from across the nation.
And yes—bring the pups. 🐾

There’s something wonderfully restorative about simply wandering without a schedule…taking in beautiful things, hearing music, watching people gather, and allowing yourself a little time to just be.

Fall has a way of slowing everything down.

At Tuttle Orchards in Greenfield, Indiana, that feeling comes naturally.

This fourth-generation family farm has wide-open fields, blooming flowers, apple-laden trees and plenty of space to simply exhale.

Some evenings introduce you to a place. Others introduce you to a whole new way of living.

There was something different in the air at the grand debut of Silver Collection at Saxony in Fishers, Indiana.

A new destination is taking shape—where elevated design, distinctive amenities, hospitality, and an inspired lifestyle come together in a setting surrounded by some of the area’s largest corporations.

And what better way to unveil it than with an evening designed to awaken the senses?

Executive Chef Joel Alvarado and the Silver Hospitality Team brought their signature touch to an evening filled with beautiful flavors, vibrant energy, and opportunities to connect.

Then the stage came alive.

Silver Collection at Saxony is creating a new chapter for luxury living in Fishers, and I’m already looking forward to returning to discover more.

A little Lafayette, Indiana discovery… and a toast to a remarkable woman. 🥂

Tucked around the corner on Main Street, we found a chic little spot that felt like the perfect place to raise our glasses to Mary Catherine “Kate” Mullen — a woman who left her mark on the history of Lafayette, Indiana.

Lafayette is a city shaped by big ideas, brilliant minds, and generations of talent from Purdue University — from engineers and innovators to the astronauts who have gone on to reach for the stars. 🚀

And sometimes, the best way to discover a city’s rich history is to slow down, find a special little corner, and celebrate the people who helped shape it.

There’s a little slice of Indiana when summer and fall meet… And it might just be one of our favorite times of year!

The sunshine still feels warm, but there’s a crispness beginning to sneak into the air. The light gets softer and more golden. The trees are just beginning to flirt with shades of amber and gold, while summer is still putting on one last beautiful show.

So what do you do when you find yourself in that magical in between? You go outside. You wander. You stop at the places that make you happy. And you savor every bit of it.

Our day started at Wolfies’s Grill on Morse Reservoir, in Cicero – where the sparkling water, sunshine and beautiful views immediately put us in that summer isn’t over yet state of mind.

Then came a stop-we probably wouldn’t recommend… But the surroundings were pretty, the Margarita was picture perfect and sometimes you just have to enjoy the moment you’re in.

The view was beautiful

Next up: Sun King distillery in Carmel’s Midtown – where the energy was lively, the sun was shining, the beer was cold, and the moon trail was alive with people enjoying the day.

Bicyclists cruised by, the Tipsy Tour cart rolled through and everywhere we looked, there were people enjoying themselves!

And then came our favorite things to see:

Dogs, dogs, dogs, lots of happy dogs!

There’s something about watching people strolling with their pups, tails, wagging, and everyone soaking up the sunshine, that instantly makes a day better. Because really… Nothing beats puppies enjoying the day too.

Then we made our way to DIVVY, where the experience is all about sharing. Everything is made from scratch, and tapas style menu lets you sample delightful little bites of this in that – those delicious little discoveries that make you want to order just one more.

And finally, VIVANTE!

The perfect ending to a gorgeous day!

Family, strolling with their kids. People jogging and bicycling. Laughter floating through the air. The tree is beginning their colorful transformation. And that beautiful golden light settling over everything.

Celebrating my lovely sister-in-law’s birthday was one of those unforgettable evenings.

She has a way of making people feel welcome, loved, and completely at home. Her warmth fills a room, her laughter is contagious, and her genuine spirit has created friendships and family memories that span decades. She carries with her the kind of richness that only comes from a life filled with love, adventures, celebrations, challenges overcome, stories shared, and countless moments that matter.

Carmel’s streets became a celebration of automotive artistry!

For 19 years, Artomobilia has transformed Carmel, Indiana’s Arts & Design District and extended into Midtown a spectacular showcase of design, performance, innovation, and community.

Classic, modern, exotic, and downright unusual vehicles from around the world lined the charming streets, creating a car enthusiast’s dream. Among the standouts? A Helicron powered by an airplane propeller and even the world’s smallest car showcased by Lane Motor Museum from Nashville, TN!

Car clubs, collectors, enthusiasts, families, and curious spectators all came together to admire these incredible machines and celebrate the art of the automobile.

It’s pet-friendly! 🐾

Indiana Destinations: Symphony on the Prairie at Conner Prairie

Let’s kick off a new series exploring some of Indiana’s special places—and first up is Conner Prairie in Fishers, IN!
