Injury is rough and I used to blame all my surroundings, even thought it was just me getting unlucky and that I wasn’t meant to be able to train.

Throughout the process I learned to take full accountability for every single one of my problems and this helped me overcome them.

If you struggle with injury at the minute and haven’t looked at how the brain and neuron’s are linked to chronic injury (Maladaptive neuroplasticity) do yourself a favour and search it up, you may learn a lot. by @mcquaide_coaching

Every year the same thing. People decide in October that they’ll start in January, then spend 14 weeks not training so they can begin at the worst time of year with the least momentum.

14 weeks is enough to add real size, take real weight off and get strong. It’s a full block. Wasting it waiting for a date on a calendar is the most expensive thing you can do with it.

If you want to start now, message me.

The problem comes when you think it has to be complicated.

Everyone online wants to stand out. They do this by inventing and pushing eye catching mad exercises for engagement.

Stick to the basics and progress weekly. Stop changing your plan every 2 weeks.

Should you hire a coach?

You can 100% make serious progress in the gym by doing things yourself. However, having a good coach in your corner will ultimately fast track your progress.

I have made countless mistakes throughout my lifting career. After years of failing and figuring out what works I can confidently say I have a proven system to achieve my body composition goals and keep me there.

What I provide my current clients with is a sufficient structure suited to their way of living, nutrition plans built around what they eat already, training plans built around their usual routine but given proper structure, updates on training and meal plans weekly and 24/7 constant support throughout the process. No thinking for my clients, just doing.

So to answer the question, should you hire a coach? It’s entirely up to you. Has progress been slow? Missing meals? Guessing with sessions? Finding it hard to stay on track with updating calories/macros as your body adapts to achieve your goals? Ask yourself these questions. If you resonate with any of this, it’s worth giving it a think.

If you’re ready to take action before the year ends, regardless of your starting position, then shoot me a message.

Took me a long time to get here. Most people skip step 5 and wonder why their shoulders hurt.

You don’t go to the gym for one goal. You go for twelve.

Set the target, chase it, complete it then do it again 90 seconds later. There’s almost nowhere else in normal life where you get that many completed goals in an hour.

That’s what the notes app is actually doing. It’s not taking the fun out of training. It turns a session into a stack of finish lines, and every one you cross is your brain filing evidence that you follow through.

Which is why the people who track train more consistently than the people who wing it, it makes it enjoyable. Long before the numbers on the bar change.
