We were excited to team up with the BCIT Student Association @bcitsa to bring their 2026/2027 School Agenda to life! 📚 The beautiful matte laminated cover was designed by a talented BCIT grad, and the Student Association did a fantastic job creating a planner that’s ready for a brand-new school year. The 5.5” × 8.5” size makes it easy to carry, while the plastic spiral binding allows it to hang on a wall or open flat on a desk. The custom die-cut tabs keep sections organized, and the 65 lb paper is pen friendly. The best part IF you’re a BCIT student? It’s FREE 🙌 Here’s to fresh starts, new goals, and a great year ahead. Welcome back, BCIT students! #BCITSA #BackToSchool #SchoolAgenda #educationbooks #mcrlprint by @mcrlprint
Our FRIDAY FEATURE this week celebrates Kim Scharf, the talented author of Piper Joy and The Grand Old Tree @piperjoybook Kim's heartwarming rhyming book was a finalist in the prestigious Eric Hoffer International Book Award - less than 140 books were chosen from 2,500 entries! 🙌 Kim! Piper Joy is extra special for many reasons – the story is inspired by Kim’s granddaughter, and 100% of the profits from this beautiful 8.5 x 11 picture book are being donated to help find a cure for mitochondrial disease @umdf 💖. You can learn more and support the cause by visiting piperjoybook.com - helping make a difference, one page at a time! 📚 Thank you so much for choosing us to bring your beautiful book to life, and letting us share your story Kim! #authorspotlight #childrensbooks #picturebooks #CureMito by @mcrlprint
What an honor for @mcrlprint , @boardbookprinting and @tarakeanuenue to be recognized by the IBPA PubWest Design Awards for our first braille board book. Tara published this book so her two blind children and indigenous communities can see themselves reflected. It was a labor of love, making the award extra special. One of the strongest book binding methods starts with a single stitch! Smyth-sewn binding is a popular choice for hardcover journals, planners, children’s books, cookbooks, bibles and text books because it lays flat and is built for frequent use. #printingtip #bts #bookbinding #offsetprinting #mcrlprint by @mcrlprint
Your cover isn’t just about looks, it needs the right thickness, too! 📚 Choosing the right cover stock can make a big difference in how your book feels, bends, and holds up in readers’ hands. 📖 Softcover: 10pt–12pt cover stock is most common 📕 Hardcover: Typically 80pt–120pt Save this reel for when you’re getting your book ready for print, and share it with a fellow author! ✨ . . . . .#bookprinting #bookdesigner #bookauthor #customprinting #printingtips by @mcrlprint
