A historic London setting. A new chapter in hospitality.

MCR Property Group has acquired the hostel at Holland Park, a distinctive property within Grade I listed Holland House in Kensington. The £3 million leasehold acquisition brings together a remarkable heritage setting, the surrounding parkland and easy access to Notting Hill and central London.
The property is being repositioned under LOOP London, MCR’s independent hostel brand. Refurbishment plans are in development, with a multimillion-pound investment programme being finalised to enhance the accommodation and communal spaces, while respecting the building’s heritage.

LOOP London forms part of MCR’s growing hospitality platform, with a focus on thoughtful design, a welcoming social atmosphere and good-value stays that help guests connect with the city.

Another 668 beds added. Flow Student now stands at more than 8,600 beds nationally, with 10,000 operational beds firmly in our sights.
MCR Property Group has acquired Moor Lane Halls and Walker Street in Preston, strengthening our presence in the city and continuing the expansion of our student accommodation platform.
The investment starts with the acquisition and continues through the buildings. Refurbishment is due to begin imminently, with upgrades planned across bedrooms, communal areas and shared facilities.
Our approach is straightforward, identify assets with potential, invest in the accommodation and improve their long term performance.
Alongside further acquisitions, we are exploring opportunities to reposition buildings within the wider MCR portfolio into student accommodation, giving us another route to grow Flow Student and unlock value from assets we already own.
Two more acquisitions, a stronger position in Preston and a clear focus on what comes next.

MCR Property Group has acquired the William Booth Centre in Birmingham’s Gun Quarter, and this is exactly the kind of building we like. On paper, it is a former hostel, around 46,000 sq ft, close to the city centre, the canal and an established residential neighbourhood. But property gets much more interesting when you stop describing buildings by what they were and start asking what they could be. Our current plans could see the property repositioned into around 67 rental homes, with a mix of studios, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments, subject to planning and final design. There is a slightly odd obsession in property with the idea that progress has to mean knocking something down and starting again. We do not always agree. Sometimes the cleverer move is spotting the value that is already sitting there, giving it a new purpose and making it work harder. The William Booth Centre once accommodated up to 74 residents, now we have the opportunity to write an entirely new chapter for it. The bricks are already there, the location already works, the demand is already there, our job is to join the dots. Another acquisition for MCR Property Group, another asset where the most valuable thing might simply be seeing it differently. by @mcrpropertygroup

We’ve just landed 84,661 sq ft at Manchester Airport. ✈️

MCR Property Group has acquired 4M Building, a prominent office building directly above Manchester Airport’s main transport interchange.

A significant investment in our home city. And an exciting new destination for our growing commercial portfolio.
We’re committing £2 million to refurbish and reposition the building, including the launch of MIXX Workspace, bringing flexible workspace to one of the North West’s best-connected business locations.

From flexible space for growing teams to larger traditional offices for established businesses, our investment will create more choice for companies looking to make Manchester Airport their base.

Already home to Manchester Airport PLC, Emirates, Menzies Aviation and TransPennine Trains, 4M brings together an established business community, exceptional transport links and an international outlook.

The continued investment and growth around Airport City Manchester were key factors in the acquisition, reinforcing our long-term confidence in the location.
Great work by Martin Brown and Charles Denby in securing the deal.

Headrow House joins the MCR portfolio.

MCR Property Group has acquired the former Direct Line headquarters at 28-36 The Headrow in central Leeds.

The ten-storey building will remain in office and retail use, with a comprehensive refurbishment planned to bring the vacant upper floors back into occupation.

Despite existing consent for 230 co-living homes, our strategy is to retain and invest in its established office use, reflecting our confidence in the Leeds market.

The proposed refurbishment and repositioning programme is expected to give Headrow House a gross development value of approximately £37.6m.

The building will also form part of the new flexible workspace brand platform we are developing across our portfolio.

Great work by Martin Brown, William Mullery and everyone involved in securing the acquisition.

🎢 While everyone is talking about Universal Studios coming to Bedford, MCR Property Group was already investing in the area.

With a £5bn+ Universal resort, 28,000 new jobs, major transport upgrades and billions in economic growth planned for the region, the long-term potential is clear. MCR saw the opportunity early and backed Bedford before the headlines arrived.

Location and timing are everything in property investment. 🏗️📈 @mcrpropertygroup by @mcrpropertygroup

The sketch becomes the story. We’re proud to reveal that the building we’ve been shaping, planning and preparing to share is the CIS Tower, one of Manchester’s true architectural icons.

Completed in 1962, the tower was built as the headquarters of the Co-operative Insurance Society and quickly became a symbol of Manchester’s post-war ambition. At 118 metres, it was the tallest office building in the UK at the time and, for decades, one of the defining silhouettes of the city’s skyline.
Its story has always been one of progress. Designed with international influence and modernist confidence, the CIS Tower was ahead of its time then and later again, when its service tower was transformed with thousands of solar panels, creating one of the largest vertical solar arrays in Europe.

Now, a new chapter begins.
For MCR Property Group, this is more than a landmark asset. It is a building with history, presence and civic significance, the kind of opportunity that demands long-term belief, strategic thinking and the confidence to see what comes next.
Behind this moment sits the strength of our asset team: focused, commercially sharp and relentless in unlocking value. They have helped turn ambition into momentum, and momentum into a landmark announcement.

At MCR Property Group, every building has a story. CIS Tower is one of Manchester’s biggest and we’re ready to help write what comes next. taken in CIS Tower by @mcrpropertygroup

Manchester has always rewarded ambition. Soon, we’ll be sharing news that speaks to exactly that, scale, confidence and long-term belief in one of the UK’s great cities. Behind it sits the strength of our asset team: focused, commercially driven and relentless in unlocking value. They’ve been building momentum quietly, identifying opportunity, shaping strategy and thinking bigger at every stage.

At MCR Property Group, every building has a story. This one is a big story and we’ve been sketching it out for some time.

For our creative and marketing team, it’s the kind of opportunity that allows ideas to flourish and stories to be told on a bigger stage. taken in Manchester, United Kingdom by @mcrpropertygroup

Never underestimate the power of a good awning.

It is one of those small things that does a surprisingly large amount of work. It gives a building a sense of arrival. It tells people where they are. It turns a doorway into an entrance.

At Chesham Court, we’re thinking carefully about these details, not just outside, but inside too. From the branded awning to the interiors, every touchpoint is being refined to give the property more presence, more character and a stronger sense of place.

Because in hospitality, the details aren’t decoration.

They’re the brand. taken in Kensington, London by @mcrpropertygroup

A really special day visiting @greenfoldschool with Variety, the Children’s Charity, to see the MCR Property Group Sunshine Coach in action.

MCR Property Group purchased the bus for children with a variety of special educational needs, giving them greater access to activities, experiences and opportunities beyond the classroom.

It was wonderful to learn more about the school, meet the staff and pupils, and see the truly important work Variety continues to support across the North West.

Thank you to Lyn and the @varietygb team for such a warm welcome, and to Max for being a fantastic tour guide.

Proud to support a cause that creates real, lasting impact for children and young people.

“Foot on the gas at 100 miles an hour”, as featured in @insiderbusinessnews , is a reflection of disciplined growth, not just momentum.

A strong piece with our founder Aneel Mussarat, highlighting the principles that have shaped MCR over the past 30 years, conviction, pace, and independent thinking applied with structure and intent.

And thank you to @togethermoney - loans, mortgages & finance for a partnership that has supported that journey throughout.
