A 7+ hour shift volunteering today along with many others, all doing stuff to improve their local community.

If you want to improve things or think where you live is just a bit pants, you can just go & do stuff to make it a little bit better. A couple of hours a week will make a difference to your part of the world. Working for something bigger than yourself is just as important as "self-care".

Happy New Year.

End of broadcast.

Okay, here's a meal towards my #30vegpledge with 12 in one dish, I think! 🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕

Green lentil and vegetable stew with sourdough parmesan croutons

Containing: Leeks, carrot, celery, cavolo nero (stalks and all), chard, tomatoes, courgette, red kidney beans, garlic fennel seeds, smoked paprika, herbs de provence.

All vegetables and sourdough from @riverford , other bits from the shop. Not much of a looker but very tasty.

P.S yes our kitchen could be the set of a 70's sitcom, and Lego head container is for vegetable scraps for the green waste bin. by @mdaxon
