Thankful for making it to 34 today; coveted with grace and favor in more ways than I can identify. 33 was my toughest year yet. It dealt me with lessons I cannot unlearn, but blessed with the tools to MASSAGE any problem or healing I will need moving into this next milestone…
You know, a lot of folks talk about choosing JOY, but the thing is we are all pretty good at choosing it when it’s convenient or uncomfortable. Even then, the idea of it being a choice can be detrimental to our environment, especially if we are mindful with our JOY.
My takeaway is that this is a practice; a practice not just to ourselves but the other people, places and things that we may affect…
JOY IS A RESPONSIBILITY. So, I CHOOSE to make JOY my RESPONSIBILITY. Bless up🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 by @mdotjohns

As 2020 comes to a close, there has definitely been much to reflect on. We got served lemons this year, and it is with grace that we have made lemonade out of it today. I am so grateful for the movements, practices, and lessons I have learned this year. The people, the experiences, and the places I’ve been. Throughout the year, I survived on prayer, hard work, meditation, yoga, nourishments, and affirmations. Starting with 5, I made it to 9; these affirmations were chanted and thought of daily:

HAPPINESS
FEARLESSNESS
SELF COMPASSION
PATIENCE
TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS/INTUITION
ACCOUNTABILITY
CONSISTENCY
FREEDOM FROM SUFFERING
TO BE AT EASE

As the new year approaches, my goal to manifest these things will be translating them from just words/thoughts/ideals... They are to be PRACTICES.

On these first days of the new year, I will post daily what the meaning and intention of these PRACTICES are. I hope you don’t mind if I share and document this not just for you, but for myself to refer back to in those challenging times of the year ahead. Happy New Year! Bless Up! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 by @mdotjohns

My Muse: Ashaya @humminbyrd... One week ago I touched down to LA to work with this young soul on an event we'd been curating for some time. Months before that you resigned from a highly desired job that many people would kill for, because you decided to step out on FAITH and pursue your dreams. Months later, you inspired me to do the same, and I'm so much happier and fulfilled. I'd just like to say how proud, inspired, and intrigued of your transformation into finally becoming a true woman and an artist. What I experienced over the next four days was the emergence a businesswoman, am artist, producer, and a leader. You are extremely resilient, and you have proven that you know how to rise to the occasion. I am excited and honored to be apart of this journey with you, and I'm so eager to create and tell more stories with you. I implore you to diminish your doubt, and follow your heart. Yes, we are CRAZY, but we deserve that privilege only because we have to share our gifts with the world. - NOW FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR, THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS UNSEEN - Hebrews 11:1 #NoWorries #NovemberLIVE #novembertheep #itsshowtime Sorry I stole this, was too in awe to using my front-facing camera 😂 by @mdotjohns
