Some of us are out here building businesses out of the very things we went through. Things we now know we can get someone else through faster. So much faster.

And these businesses let us choose. How we show up as a woman. A wife. A mother. A single. A person who no longer wants to be in the corporate space.

It’s a freedom we’ve never had before. And it comes with so many complexities. Both things are true.

But here’s what I keep coming back to.

She can’t believe it’s possible for her until she sees it’s possible for someone like her. Out loud. Face on.

That’s the work. Not the strategy. Not the funnel. You.

You are the hook.

That’s where I start. Not with your wardrobe. With you. Who you were before you started hiding. What you stopped wearing, and why. Internal then external, always.

Twenty years of dressing women taught me this.

Your wardrobe tells the truth long before you do.

The piece you keep putting back. The dress with the tags still on because “where would I even wear it?”

Sometimes it’s your body you’re hiding. Often it’s the comment. The look. The “ooh, you’re dressed up today.”

I know, because I couldn’t always show up this way either.

This miniskirt and these legs didn’t come naturally to me. That confidence was earned. I worked the muscle every single day until how I showed up matched how I see myself.

That’s the work I do with my clients. We have very honest conversations. I’m not your best friend or a family member. My skin in the game is to see you win. And I’ve watched the lightbulb turn on, again and again.

It was never about more clothes. It’s permission.

Start small. One piece that feels like you. Wear it until it feels normal. Then go again.

No one’s coming to save you. It’s just you, and that little voice that whispers there’s more here for you.

You’re scared they’ll say “who does she think she is?”
We work out who you are first. Then it doesn’t matter who asks.

You’re scared you’ll look like you’re trying too hard.
When it’s true to you, it doesn’t look like trying. It looks like you.

You’re scared your friends will think you’ve changed.
You haven’t changed. You’ve stopped hiding. The right people will know the difference.

You’re scared you’ll finally show up and it still won’t be enough.
You were always enough. We just make it visible.

Internal then external, always.

99 days to go before year’s end. Find the person who lives and breathes what she does. Who gets you actual results. Who’s changed other people’s lives for the absolute better.

You find it slowly, in the moments you choose not to disappear. It will cost you something. It will give you more.

I’ve been walking and walking and walking.

I’m back in the weight room.

I lost a little faith after being in pain and not feeling as confident.

In the past this injury would’ve sidelined me. I would’ve had no greater excuse than to stop.

Guess who kept going. I started in December last year. I’d work through all the excuses possible to not go to gym. I gave myself one last opportunity to do this right.

I turn up for me, this is all for myself. She’s back in the weight room. by @meaghanstyles
