Even demons know who Jesus is. Knowledge doesn’t save us. It is what we do with that knowledge.

Thoughts from Mark 1.

We are back next Tuesday to dive into Mark 2. taken in MAJESTIC by @meaningseries

Though there’s nothing wrong in wanting to be self-sufficient and limitless, when that desire comes from a place of not wanting to depend on God instead, we creep into dangerous territory.

Your gift is not a weapon. It’s a “gift” entrusted to you, meant to be shared and given freely—to live a life of generosity. It’s not for manipulating others or pushing your own agenda, but for replenishing and restoring humanity and the earth back to the original design.

Sometimes we can end up taking on more than we were expected or asked to. And unrealistic expectations can lead to burnout. The truth is, you’re not meant to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders—that’s God’s job. Our role is to trust Him to handle what we can’t.

There’s something to be said about the work that you do just because you want to — the passion projects, the side hustles, the things you do after your 9-5, the work you do on your weekends that give you joy.

Bringing order into chaos, finding stories in the mundane, creating beauty out of raw materials… that is what it means to be human — whether you’re getting paid for it or not is almost irrelevant.

Still doesn’t give anyone an excuse to not pay you for your work though 👀 but the money (or the lack of it) does not define the value of your work. taken in EARTH by @meaningseries

The book of Genesis presents a pattern in how the way God worked as he created the world—a pattern that may reflect how we are meant to approach our own work.

It starts with dreaming and conceptualizing, followed by execution and creation. After completing the work, we celebrate and appreciate what’s been accomplished, and finally, we rest and enjoy the creation. This process forms a full, harmonious cycle.
