I asked the Lord to fill the room with His presence. He did just that and even more. Thank you Father for everything you’ve done in South Africa.

I cannot BELIEVE it turned out this way. Three days out from NAPF, I got food poisoning. I only got one hour of sleep, and I couldn’t keep any water down. I was severely dehydrated, feeling fatigued even just walking a couple steps. I lost 8 pounds, and thought that I wouldn’t even be able to compete. However, the tables turned. The night before weigh ins and the morning of, I managed to get 6 pounds worth of water weight back. I competed at 139 pounds, which is only 2 pounds under what I was maintaining at. My warmups felt phenomenal, and I ended up hitting a 5 pound PR, winning me my first ever international competition. Truly a miracle of God.

Thank you to @tarketstrength . I would never be at this level of powerlifting without you. Glad I could show you how well the training paid off. Thank you @blake_strengthcoach , you’ve also inspired me to get to the point where I am today. I am truly grateful for all the help and encouragement you’ve given me. Thank you to @americanirongym , you’ve given me a second home. I started going to this gym at 14, not knowing anything about lifting weights. Every single training session- good and bad- has led me to this.

Thank you to the goofiest training partner @marki.kgs_ . We’ve grown together from the very start, and it was a crazy experience winning this together.

Thank you to both my parents for always putting up with my protein intake and traveling. I love you both so much.

James 1:2-4 ⬇️
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

For three weeks, I have been dealing with a back strain. When it first happened, I couldn’t stand for longer than an hour. Now, I am back even stronger than pre-injury. The Lord is so, so good.

Thank you to all who helped me get through this experience. I love you all. PRAISE THE LORD!
