Hey guys! Its mechanic Johnny i know i been mia! I haven't posted on here since i moved on to another manufacturer platform. Unfortunately when my health declined (long story!) and i came back to work things were different with BMW so much so that i decided to pursue a different platform.

I am going to sell off this ig page and wanted to let everyone know that i am grateful for their past support and business. If you still want to follow my mechanic career and just see what i am up to follow my new page @johnnys_lsx

With that being said, i am absolutely no longer working on BMW and only working on Chevy V8s and the ecoteco turbo platform .

Our E90 M is finally out of rod bearing surgery and kicking! Check out the motor mounts as always driver side is gone! These stock bearings weren't too bad for 100k miles but obviously they need to be replaced. If you haven't replaced your rod bearings on ya S65 please do! Just to make things very clear to the S65 community the problem is not the bearing material the problem is the size of the bearing. The stock oil clearance is as much as .0015!!! On a engine that revs to 8k! That's way too tight! We replace your rod bearings with a CUSTOM SIZED BEARING that increases your oil clearance from a tight .0015 to a healthy.0025-.0030 without doing machine work! So if you had your bearings replaced with stock bearings make sure you book a rod bearing service with us to get you right! Then again if you damage your S65 its only $10k plus to replace no big deal 🥱 We also do bearing service on S54,N54,S85,N55,S55&S62. Always fun keeping these V8's kicking! By now i think all e90Ms have had they're bearings done but if you haven't gotten the service make sure you add it to your list! Unfortunately alot of guys have had the service done but only stock bearings were used! We use a custom sized bearing to give you looser oil clearance allowing you to run a thick oil with no issues! Alright guys this E53 X5 with snoop dogg syndrome is finally fixed! We got no more smoke out of this big girl! Check out how bad the plugs got with the leaking valve stem seals! Now imagine that burnt oil going thru your exhaust system! That smoke also damages your catalytic converters and 02 sensors! Now more than ever with inflation at an all time high and interest rates being at 237% for a 8 year car loan and what not fixing that N62 that's a lil tired might be a better route. Out of all the years i been doing this i have never seen a N62 have less than 6% leak on all cylinders! Guys these engines are tough! Finally finished up with our bank 2 seals on our smoking N62 V8 🥱 On to bank 1 seals 16 valves left to do 👏👏👏 We still need to replace a failing waterpump and valley cover 😒 After this service is done this client essentially is knocking out all major failure points and maintenance on this engine. Doing a valve cover on this V8 is not fun especially when keeping the intake installed. If your Bmw V8 is smoking dont ignore it! It's going to get worse! Alright guys finally jumping into the N62 maintenance value bundle 😩 We found a couple of things bad on our beautiful E53 4.4 powered truck. Valley pan gasket is gone and our waterpump is not so far away from making our client use a Triple A tow 🙃 Check out our intake valve seal nice and crispy. Fresh seals going in! If your Bmw V8 powered vehicle is smoking and you've already replaced the pcv system with no results 99.9% you need valve stem seals. If you let the valve stem seals continue to leak and smoke you will kill the catalytic converters and the 02 sensors! The average price of a 02 sensor is $80-$165 on N62 you use 4 don't get caught lacking brodie. For all your BMW services check us out conveniently located in Los Angeles 👨‍🔧

We got a beautiful E53 X5 with the mighty 4.4 N62 V8 that unfortunately is coming in for Snoop dog syndrome aka smoking exhaust 😔 Unfortunately these 4.4, 4.6 and 4.8 N62 engines suffer from worn factory valvestem seals that allow engine oil to get into the combustion chamber and cause excessive smoking. This N62 has leaking valvecover,valley pan, and stock waterpump. The cool thing about doing valve stem seals is you get about 98% of the upper gaskets replaced saving you a couple of thousand dollars on redoing gaskets. So your N62 gets its maintenance up to date! Finally finished installing all our upgraded @supertechperformance valvesprings on this S65 ☺ This client can now have 100% confidence he will not have a valvespring break on him while he revs to the moon 🚀 8k peace of mind club 🥱 Cams are back in aswell with vanos Solenoids cleaned up all is left is clean the engine up replace our leaking Ofhg and get this big girl ready to turn on 🥰 If you haven't replaced your stock S65 valvesprings now more than ever definitely something to consider as these M3's continue to age! Bank 2 valvesprings are finally replaced and now time to get bank 1 done! As you guys can see there's like no room to do anything on the S65 especially with extra large hands. After these springs are done we're gonna give this engine a nice cleaning and replace a severely leaking Ofh. If you want extra peace of mind with your S65 or constantly revving to 8k we highly recommend replacing your springs with @supertechperformance The stock spring breakage issue is rare but in the event that a spring breaks keep in mind the valve can fall into the engine destroying your cylinder walls essentially making your S65 non-rebuildable other than sleeving 🥱 Take care of your M3 🥰 For all your BMW services check us out conveniently located in Los Angeles 👨‍🔧

So finally we get to start removing our stock valve springs from our 2008 BMW M3! As you can see the clearance if very tight normally to do this job you must remove the cylinder head. To begin with look at the shrouded valvesprings a conventional valvespring tool will not fit! This top end of our S65 cylinder head is seeing light for the first time since 2008! Before we pulled the valvecovers we started to do some minor cleaning and dust off dirt before we pulled valvecovers. This client has definitely taken care of this S65 engine no scoring or oil contamination was found on bank 1 cam journals! Everytime we pull N54 cams nothing but oil contamination 😩 ya'll should have some shame! Anyways lets pull bank 2 cams off and get ready to upgrade our valvesprings!
