Proof of Life: Getting my fingers back around some of the trickier parts of the music. The album just needs art and then it’s ready for your earholes.

So it turns out until yesterday I had never heard “dancing on the ceiling” in its entirety-so I didn’t realise it has an absolute ripper of a guitar solo 😂

Yes I did use an EVH tapped harmonic at the end, no I won’t explain my reasoning 🎸

This year is nearly a wrap. Me, @deanparker__ and @siondungey have put in a huge amount of work into the MECHANiSMS debut record, as well as a couple of guests whom have had a real impact on this record. There’s not much at all left before big talk becomes reality. Can’t wait to share with you all.

Have a pleasant holiday period. Looking forward to seeing everyone in 2025

Yesterday with @deanparker__ was an absolute blast. We’re almost there with TBOLT and I am so excited for you guys to hear it in its entirety.

I’m about halfway through tracking guitars for MECHANiSMS debut, and I’m honestly so proud of the work that myself, @deanparker__ and @siondungey have put into this record.

I also have a couple of guest solos on the album, but I won’t spoil who just yet, so massive thank you to those mystery guitarists. You know who you are.

I’m really looking forward to sharing some music with you all soon, so hold tight, it’s coming :)

Pic of tiny ginger cat for attention

Some shreds from the last couple of days worth of recording with the lovely @deanparker__
It’s been an absolute blast.

This track is also getting a cheeky feature from a fellow prog guitarist…

Can’t wait for you all to be able to hear what’s been cooked up.

A class afternoon recording with the lovely @deanparker__

Have a sneak peek of the title track from the album. If you like fast and aggressive paired with pretty melodies, then this one will be for you.

Dean also has a kickstarter on his page to get his short album “is this learning?” Printed to vinyl: the fund is at 50% and there’s only 4 days left.

Give the album a listen on Spotify, or whatever streaming service you prefer, and if you like it, then why not see if you can help get this into physical copies?

Cheers

Now that’s a healthy looking rack of guitars… can you tell I like obscure FMIC models?
