Anyone I know looking to pick up some work tomorrow and Friday?

Partners of mine run a print shop in Orlando and are looking for 2-3 people to help prep some big mailings they have. Duties including tabbing and organizing mail into bins.

Happy birthday to my guy @damenezi.

We met in January, and in a pretty short amount of time, he’s become one of my favorite people to build with and a real friend.

What I respect most is the intention and heart he puts into the work. He cares about the details and he cares about the people on the other side of what he creates. You can feel it.

He’s already put so much of that into @assemblagewine_co, and I’m grateful to be building Assemblage and OFFSITE alongside him.

Orlando is better with people like Damian creating here, and I’m looking forward to everything still ahead of us.

Big things to build. Good things to make. Doing our part to make Orlando the creative city we know it can be.

Meet our friend @alexandria_in_wonderland, art curator at @cafe_tu_tu_tango and one of the creatives who joined us for Tastemaker Tuesday at @cityarts_orlando.

She called it “a must-do for wine lovers and creatives.”

She created a blend that was uniquely hers.

She named it Metamorphosis.

She named her signature blend “Oopsie Dazy.”

Someone shared a piece of advice with me recently:

“Stop taking direction from people who’ve never been to the places you want to go.”

And it stuck with me.

When you’re building something new, everyone has an opinion.

Friends.
Strangers.
Experts.
People watching from the sidelines.

Most mean well.

But not every opinion deserves equal weight.

The hard part of building isn’t coming up with an idea.

It’s having the conviction to keep going when other people can’t yet see what you see.

If you’re creating something from nothing, there’s a good chance you’re seeing around corners a little bit. You’re connecting dots others haven’t connected yet.

That doesn’t mean you’re always right.

It means you need to be careful whose advice you’re letting shape your path.

Stay focused.

Give it time.

Do the work.

Generate results.

The people who don’t see it today might see it tomorrow.

And if they don’t?

Build it anyway.
