Last week, I hosted and generated again my free mini interactive seminar. This one is the second seminar of the Mindset and Growth series, titled: “The Importance of Emotional Intelligence – Learning from Dr. Robert Waldinger & Dr. Gabor Maté on How to Elevate Your Mind Power, Manage Your Emotions, and Make Trauma Work for You” facilitated by @mrs.foundation and @medan_creatorsspace (both still abundant thanks to the amazing kak @merylsaragih - North Sumatra's Member of Parliament)

Rooted in the same intention as the first session to freely share knowledge that empowers, this seminar was created so that more people can access insights that support emotional wellness, regardless of background or resources.

We explored how emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and trauma-informed strategies can transform how we lead, connect, and grow.

Key learnings included:
🔹 Relationships are the strongest predictor of lifelong well-being, not success or wealth.
🔹 Trauma isn’t just about what happened, but what emotional needs were unmet and healing starts with recognizing that.
🔹 Managing emotions means learning to pause, reflect, and regulate, not suppress.
🔹 There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Each of us must adapt strategies that work best for our unique story, body, and context.
🔹 Self-compassion, presence, and connection are the foundation for emotional growth.

Through interactive reflections and roleplay, participants built a personal emotional toolkit, rooted in curiosity, compassion, and consistent practice.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who showed up with openness and courage.
Let’s keep growing, sharing, and supporting one another, one insight at a time.
