VEILS happened in the final hours of @sporespace

grateful for the chance to dance inside/ with the sculptures of @rosemaryhhall

+ to have celebrated this space by performing alongside
@briskells
@jameskidd_studio + @tarajaneoneil
@elizabethpostingstuff

thank you to all who showed up // on both sides of the glass

the act of crossing X
is an immense privilege
for so many, a life-threatening feat.

right now in america, entering public spaces is something that is done by some with unnoticed ease, while for others it is a risk that could end their ability to be here

“Who am I without you? I was not just over here and you over there but the I was in the crossing, there with you but also here.“

¿listos queridxs? The Listening Garden presents…

Tribilin Sound
Friday 10/16 • Taco Roma, Ojai

a night of puro DANCE to electronic cumbia, tropical bass y más.

Tribilin Sound is the project of Álvaro Ernesto, Peruvian DJ, producer, and pioneer in the tropical bass and electronic cumbia movements. His distinct style is the crossing of his cultural roots, urban identity, and futuristic notions for the global dancefloor. Cumbia, chicha, and Afro-Peruvian rhythms meet electronic elements that take us somewhere entirely new.

DJ Mediacrema will be warming us up 🔥

bathe with us…in a realm of experimental folk that’s as vast as the ocean. The Listening Garden presents:

Hana Stretton • Sunday, October 18th
7-10PM • Light + Space
sound by @livingearth.la 💙
ambient selections by DJ @mediacrema_

@hana.stretton is a British/Australian composer, singer + producer, known for her warm production style and uniquely spacious songform. her sophomore album, tiarn (August 2026), showers us with sighing harmonium, birdsong & operatic vocals, textured field recordings and choral hymns. sounds emerge like treasures amid a marine-layered sky.

thanks @heavy_trip + to our sponsors @itshighlylikely, who will be serving up drinks

vera rodriguez aka DJ media crema is an LA-raised, peruvian-american curatrix of sound. When not on the decks, she’s dancing, or running @thelisteninggarden , Ojai’s hifi sound series, a salon of earthly & experimental arts, concerts & dance parties. Her sets are an expansive trenza of Latin American music–from boleros, huaynos & festejo, to regaeton, cumbia, electrocumbia & neo perreo. The night begins with vinyl, but who knows…you just might find yourself at a reggaeton rave 💥 taken in Ojai, California by @mediacrema_

Two moons ago, we entered spring via this sonic portal…the fire’s still going in my heart.

what a gift it was to come together- to slow down and listen deeply on this gentle night. thank you @cole.pulice for opening the doorway to worlds beyond, and all that lies in between.

the practice of collective listening has, for us, been an important refuge, a balm, and perhaps a step towards resilience within a world that is currently loaded with division and chaos.

thank you to all who came out to be apart of this.

thank you to our friends
DJs @earthtones_music & @mediacrema_
@heaszl for the captures 📸
@dominoe.farris for the 🔥
@so.itgoes for the media support
@lightandspaceyoga for the home
@itshighlylikely for the skewers, bar +
sponsorship, which made this possible

more magic in the works, stay tuned

💚

this is how we rolled into spring…

in sweat, communion & dionysian eruption to an absolute fire DJ set by Jeremy Sole @jeremysole

while the dance flr was HOT and it was a party, it also felt like a ritual of collective catharsis. let’s not forget that dance & music have made ceremonies of resilience for so many of our ancestors…the act of gathering in life-affirming descarga in the face of devastating violence is a powerful way to be together in this world.

one of the best ways that I know how to love my neighbors is to dance with them—

it was a night of remembering our togetherness. of alchemizing the overwhelming emotions into movement. in remembering what we are living for, and in prayer that we all have access to that sense of uninhibited joy

thank you to all who came thru
thank you to our sponsors + bar tenders 🍹 @itshighlylikely
+ to our friends
