Being confused in med school🦋

If you are person who has a vision of hawk and a perfect goal about what you want to do or which path you are taking after medschool then this post is NOT for you.🙈

How many goals/dreams have you changed from your first year of medschool? For me personally it's been 4 (yes, you heard it right, FOUR)😶

1) When I went to ukraine to pursue medicine my only goal was to finish my course and settle in india after clearing the MCI exam✨

2) Eventually as time passed I met/heard a lot about PG in Germany and when I researched about it I felt that the opportunity is amazing. You only have to learn the language (it's as simple as that, plus you will get free education and your pay will be great as well). I started learning German as well by myself. But somehow I didn't feel that it's for me. Somewhere something was not right.✨

3) In my second year of med school I realised my potential and decided to go for USMLE, binge watched YouTube videos, followed people who cleared USMLE. Started solving uworld too. I purchased first aid and started reading Kaplan too. Prepared for 2 years. And when I finally decided yes this is my way I found out that the cost was too much for me to bear. I dropped the plan.🥺✨

4) At the end of 3rd year, a very close friend of mine and I was researching about PLAB and found that it's a bomb option. The exam in which cost won't be a problem and I can complete my dreams. Now my 4th year is going to end and iam really serious about PLAB.

Just wanted you all to know that changing the path of your dreams is ok (I saw this quote in @dr.varija 's story)
Even if you don't discover in the beginning of medschool or were or are still confused, Just keep in my mind that you are here for a purpose and that purpose will eventually come to you. You just have to do yout part by hustling 🌈 You are here for a purpose by @medicalish__

Are you facing a study disappointment or any kind of disappointment??

It's ok, it's ok, it's ok💕

Sometimes, you need to hit your low point so that when you reach heights, you will look back see how much you've grown. ✨✨

Hugs🤗

Also, I made this studylapse as @medmade_easy 's studylapse challenge ♥️

How to study during Ramadan✨

Assalamualaikum(also hi ,hello, namaste, anyo) beautiful people

For those who don't know what ramadan is, it's a holy islamic month during which muslims around the world observe fasting for 30 days

✔️ Manage your sleep/wake up schedule: it depends from country to country on how many hours we have to fast (it goes upto 17-18 hours in Ukraine and approximately 14 hrs fasting in india)

Try to stick onto your early bird/ night owl routine, you can either study straight after suhoor (just when the fasting has begun) or you can rest and study straight after ifthaar(after we break the fast)

If you still don't know your best time then try and check which time is more comfortable during initial days💓💖

✔️ Eating light and healthy : Most of us eat so much fried food during ifthaar and end up feeling lethargic and don't feel like studying.💤

So just try and eat lot of fruits and light food.🍊🍎🥝

✔️Consume lot of water : Make sure you drink enough water after ifthaar and before suhoor so that you won't feel dehydrated and end up having headache 🥤🍵

✔️Sleep: Make sure you sleep for 7-8 hours and don't stress out. 💤💤

✔️Plan: Make a study plan in advance for ramadan and decide what subjects you would like to review/ start (since it's a blessed month, may Allah swt make it easier)📝📒📚

✔️Don't stress out: Don't blame yourself if somedays you feel tired and don't feel like studying (it's normal during Ramadan and off days are important)🤯🙅

✔️Don't overwork: Don't think that you aren't doing enough as usual days. Just make a realistic do list for everyday and try to tick it off 📝 by @medicalish__

Oh Hi there April!!! ✨

Please be nice to us med students 😂

I just made my monthly spread sheet for April yesterday. These days iam having so much emotional drain. I start a habit, follow that for few days and then stop it again, feel guilty, start again. This guilt cycle made me feel bad.🥺

So I have made a habit tracker column in my planner so that even if I miss following that habit for few days, it will atleast help me appreciate myself of how many days I did it and I will stop blaming myself 😊✨

This month since ramadan(islamic holy month) is starting I have so many goals for spiritual development and I will focus on mental health 🍂

What do you guys do to stay consistent ?
and what are your goals for this month?🌈 by @medicalish__
