4 years have passed since i started my engineering journey. Today i reflect back...

At 21, i experienced homelessness. One of the hardest moments in my life that had me questioning where my life was heading.

I wanted to give up, i felt like hope was lost.
I never imagined i would one day be studying Engineering.
It has been challenging as at times i have failed and made mistakes. Mistakes that brought me pain and a lot of self doubt.
At times i felt i wanted to give up.

But as of today i keep going. I want to achieve what i set out to do.

I'm now 30 and coming close to the end of Engineering school.

This post isn't about me being successful yet. It's to prove to myself that change can happen. Small moments can lead to big accomplishments. And with time i am able to learn, grow and understand that the past doesn't define my future.

If you’re struggling in school or a project right now, keep going. Progress is often slow at first but every lesson, every assignment eventually adds up.
And learn to appreciate the opportunity for growth and focus on the good you have achieved even when no one else does.

Too late to study?

Another year of engineering has passed three in total now.
I spent over 500 hours studying this spring alone.
And honestly, I don’t know what to feel anymore. I’ve gone through every emotion there is: grief, joy, doubt, fire, silence.

Right now, I just want a movie scene. 📼
Me on a boat, i'm gliding through the waves. The ocean air in my face, salt on my lips, no one asking anything of me.
Or maybe I’m up on a mountain, The cool breeze whispering, “Take another sip of that beer. You earned it.”
