I spent this long weekend settling in, exploring Orlando, getting over my jet lag, and doing groceries Visiting Universal Studios on July 4th was the highlight of my week. The child in me was on cloud nine going to an amusement park after so long. My favorite ride has to be Hollywood’s Rip Ride. Today was my first day at an IM rotation in Florida and I cannot believe how much I got to learn. They took the first day to ease us into the routine and get a hang of the way things work around there. But we got to interact with the patients using an interpreter and present a case to our supervisor using SOAP, we also got to assist in taking an EKG and doing a diabetic foot examination on a patient. Leaving my parents behind is always incredibly difficult for me. Over the past two years, I’ve grown closer to them and learned to appreciate them more each day. Every time I travel away from them, I’m overwhelmed with feelings of sadness and guilt. The last video was taken after completing USMLE step 3. It’s been a tiresome and gruesome journey. But I’m finally done with USMLE. I got my results a few days later and I PASSED! Usmle you’ve truly taught me a lot. A step closer to applying for Match 2025. by @medpamx

Just walked out of the Prometric Center after 9 excruciating hours of Step 3 day 2! I cannot believe that this marks the end of my USMLE adventure. I’m struggling to put my post-exam feelings into words, blame it on the sleep deprivation or just sheer fatigue. this exam has made me go through it all from shedding tears with anxiety to pulling my hair out over silly mistakes, and those surprising happy dances when I nailed a tricky answer- I’ve been through it all. This journey has been nothing but a roller coaster of emotions- it’s been a wild ride. Hi. I’m sorry for being inactive lately, a lot has been going on. I finally graduated Med school in December! Now I have a degree with DOCTOR before my name!! It still feels a little unreal. Also, I’m finally done with my step 2CK and have a little more wiggle room. So, here I am making a mental note to be more active on this page.
