thinking about how to reconcile the varied identities I occupy under a capitalist state. about coming to terms with the fallacy of individualism. about how to shed what's been fed to me as intrinsic. coming to terms with the inevitability of my current place. and forgiving myself for adapting... surviving... im thinking about how to continue to put forth labor into purposes outside of my self or community. how to finally abandon calibrations of worth that rely on me as something that gives without ever asking 4 reciprocity. how to function post trauma but within current abusive power structures. how to sustainably be of service to others. how to put myself first finally. how to see me as worthy enough to fight for. by @medranochav

idk what else to do. what else to say. we failed the babies and their families. we're bearing witness to the violent onslaught of a genocide in real time. there are no "both sides" when the odds have been so indomitably stacked against one by the other (for decades now). this is no conflict... it's carnage. And it's all so maddening to powerlessly behold. Not that I've ever been proud to be an American... but today, that shame transcends nationalist identity. I just fucking hate being human rn. I'm so ashamed of us.
