Meet Dr. Monument and Dr. Kendal, two orthopedic surgeons and researchers at the University of Calgary, who are also lined up to play in the 2026 Stick It To Cancer Charity Hockey Game!

The Integrated Sarcoma Research Program (iSARP), led by these two physicians, is dedicated to building a patient-centred precision oncology platform that elevates care for Albertans diagnosed with sarcoma.

We hit our $150,000 goal … and more! We raised an official $166,420 on game day!
Because of this incredible community, we were able to surpass our goal while the physicians and students battled it out on centre ice.

To everyone who donated, showed up to the game, ran booths, contributed in-kind support, or cheered us on from afar - thank you. And to our sponsors, your generosity made this all possible.

Great game Friday evening at the Stick It To Cancer fundraiser! Medical students (red) vs. physicians (white). Fast, skilled hockey, and over $160,000 raised for cancer research. Cancer has affected three people in my life, so I was pleased to be one of the photographers there to capture the game. Congratulations to the organizers and the players. A job well done! Super fun to photograph, too.
