The Playroom Residency is back, and this time, we’re opening the door! ✧

For the Playroom Residency: Open Door Edition, we’re inviting the community to step into the Playroom and be part of the residency this June.

Join us for artist-led workshops and talks, follow along as we take over Bayt AlMamzar’s account to share our practices and processes, and bring something you’ve made to our community Show & Tell!

Not so long ago, I went to Cape Town looking for answers in genetics, spending time in genetic clinics with kids and Prospective mothers, counseling about tests and results while carrying my little bear pencil case and drawing small diagrams for a bigger purpose.

And here I am again reflecting on it, with even more questions. Mostly about what it really means to be human in this field, and how easy it can be to hide behind the science when something is, at the end of the day, deeply human. by @meee.rrah
