As I move on to this new chapter of my life, I want to thank everyone who has been here along the way. Cheerleading has been a home away from home, a place where I could truly be myself, where I learned some of my biggest life lessons, and who I am as a person. The lifelong best friends I’ve met and the coaches who helped shape me could never be thanked enough.To my coaches, thank you for standing at the front of the floor and giving your all to your team. You gave me the confidence to keep going and to be my best when my best is needed. Thank you Brandon and Alex for coaching GymTyme Gossip with so much passion. Everything we accomplished wouldn’t have been possible without those after-practice talks, hard full-outs, and everything in between. Coaching Lovebugs showed me the same love for coaching, and I’m so thankful to Kristi and GymTyme for that opportunity. Thank you Maggie, Jordan, and Savannah for being there along the way. I truly wouldn’t change anything.Thank you to Gossip for making my dreams come true my senior year. From winning NCA to Summit, that’s not what mattered most. It was the strangers who became teammates, then best friends. To my stunt group, thank you for the inside jokes, giggles between reps, and making me comfortable enough to be myself. I wish we could get in trouble one more time for being silly girls.None of this would’ve been possible without my parents. Paying for this sport for 15 years is not easy, and neither is everything that comes with it. Mom, thank you for everything,the cheer hair that made your hands cramp relentlessly, for getting me ready until I could get myself (almost) ready. Dad, thank you for the early coffee or wristband runs or "oh no, we forgot this or that,” you were always there ready to jump in with whatever we needed. You guys made all the early mornings and late nights look easy.To my brothers and boyfriend, thank you for always showing up and cheering me on. It means more than you know. Although this chapter is ending, these lessons won’t be for nothing. I’ll carry them into coaching and into healthcare, using the compassion this sport taught me to help others.But wow, does time really fly. by @meekaamarie
