VERSED - a publication for designers. . This brief was a hell of a challenge. I really wanted to push the boundaries of this layout as much as I could. With a certain theme to keep through the publication I wanted to be able to differentiate each designer/topics. I wanted to break the traditional way of looking at a content page as well as give each part of the publication purpose and meaning. From hierarchy all the way to the colours used, folios, to pull quotes and images. I used to hate typography and layouts, but now have developed a love for it. . Brief - Create a publication with emphasis on the typographical solution and grid composition. GIANTS OF TYPOGRAPHY - Thought I’d break up some of my illustration work with some typography. I’ll be uploading more of a variety of stuff within the coming weeks(hopefully).Illustrations and pieces are still in the works though so I’m keen to share more of those. But for now enjoy some of my typography work. 😊✌🏻 As always love hearts and reshares are hella appreciated. But I’m keen to hear feedback too! . The brief for this was to design and layout a brochure. We were to work with a grid and given fonts to create three double page spreads and front and back covers for a typography periodical, which was to feature the life and work of an influential type designer. We were also required to develop a publishers logo. . I really wanted to make use of the grid and explore what I could do with hierarchy in mind. I wanted to give my pages motion, rhythm and some tension. Good Love & Fresh Kicks - if I was a creative director for Nike I would do a massive campaign around this concept but instead I would love to turn this one into tees, prints or stickers instead! This concept was super fun to try and conceptualise. I wanted the execution to be street wear inspired. Thank you everyone for all the support y’all have given me so far as I push more of my art and design content out there. I do have some stuff coming up so stay tuned! . I decided to turn up the heat with my illustrations and design. I wanted to really refine my style but I’m super happy that I’ve kind of found that at an early stage.
