It would be the tallest order to point to something I am more grateful for than calling this great nation my home. From my arrival into this world, it has served as an open door to hopes, dreams and potential — sometimes even undeservingly. Maybe having gotten a taste of the alternatives, I am more grateful than others, but It seems nothing can hinder my love or commitment to this country. If not apologizing for that is some kind of act of defiance, I guess that’s just the American in me. I will leave you with an excerpt of a letter from John to Abigail Adams, July 2, 1776: “I am apt to believe that this day will be celebrated by succeeding generations with pomp and parade, shows, games, sport, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations - from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward, forevermore.” Remarkably, we were not even a continental nation yet, but a mere string of colonies on the Atlantic Coast. Adams knew where we were headed. Vision beyond possibility, and unbridled will to achieve. That’s America. 250 looks good on you. Look how far you’ve come. If I’ve learned anything from being here, it’s knowing that there is no limit to your potential. #Happy4th by @meenad

Provence is one of the most natural places you could ever be. The food is from miles away, the wine is from just over the hill, and the light paints it all ever so softly and sweetly. A feast for the senses and the spirit 💞 #aixenprovence #gordes #saintremydeprovence #islesurlasorgue #arles #uzes #eygalières by @meenad
