Late post, but I had to share my favourite reads of 2025. I couldn’t read a lot cuz I was in a slump often. Anyone else felt like 2025 wasn’t a good reading year? Or is it just me! lol. I dunno.

Looking forward to 2026. I wanna read more queer romance, try new authors. I’m an extreme comfort and mood reader and I would like to change that.

✨This might hurt - Very emotional read. If you wanna get wrecked go for it!

✨Of sunlight and stardust - If you like stories with homeless MC and finding love and a home with lots of comfort and healing, do read this one!

✨The fall - Just go for it

✨Echoes of us - This was a devastating read. I’m not a huge fan of toxic love but this was so well written especially the addiction part of it. This book has changed my view about a lot of things!

✨Dip Out - One of the best autism rep IMO 🥲❤️ and of course the birds and the beautiful Newfoundland wilderness!

✨Saving Sparrow - If you haven’t read this one, what are you even doing? Hands down the best read of the year. I can never get over my baby Sparrow 😭

✨The darkness outside us - Devastating and painful survival drama. No smut. YA. It was an amazing read.

✨Brim over boot - the perfect mm cowboy romance read! Smutty, unhinged and the fights(foreplay?!). Loved every bit of it ❤️✨

✨Flagrant foul - In true Jesse fashion, I was left wanting more love, more lust and more of Sev and Teddy’s story. And the pining omggg 😭❤️✨

I saw this trend floating around and I know wouldn’t be able to describe my vibes cuz of my mercurial mind and mood swings which just drive me crazy sometimes 😂

ARC Review: Jealous Guy (DOWN BAD, #1) by @jesse_h_reign

Uff. WHAT did I just read? 😭❤️‍🔥

No one does unrequited love quite like Jesse H. Reign. I felt Orion’s yearning for Jordan so deeply.. the way he convinces himself that even the smallest bit of Jordan’s touch will be enough to sustain him 🥹 And Jordan?! What an absolute sweetheart. ❤️ He’s not just an amazing boyfriend; he’s an incredible friend. This man LISTENS. He makes Orion feel seen, understood, and safe.

These two childhood best friends slowly finding their way from friendship to a deliciously hot bi-awakening and then to love? Wow. It was so so good! Sweet, spicy, cozy, low-angst, and full of two adorable idiots slowly realizing they’re in love!

Jesse, you really know how to make a girl suffer over unrequited love. 😭❤️ Thanks so much for the ARC, it was a delight as always ❤️❤️

ARC Review: Painted in Wildflowers by @emmysandersmm

4.3⭐️ | 2🌶️

Emmy has done it again. 🥹 What a cozy, beautiful story that left me smiling, giggling, and crying at different points. This book just felt so damn good.

I’m especially happy that, for once, one of the MCs is deaf, but there’s no sadness or pity surrounding it. Remi is simply Remi—and what a beautifully written character he is. Sass and sunshine bundled into one adorable man. 🥹💛

And Benson Harper… God, I wish I could hug the hell out of this man. There’s something about Emmy’s books that makes me discover new things about myself every time I read them, and Painted in Wildflowers was no different.

I could relate to Ben in so many ways, and it felt really good to see parts of myself reflected in a character. That feeling of being normal, understood, and included… I didn’t realize how much I needed it until I found it here.

I love you, Emmy, for making me feel that way. ❤️

If you’re looking for a swoony MM romance with amazing characters, lots of heart, and a little unexpected self-learning along the way, just pick this one up. You’re going to feel SO good!

✨Lover, Come On Over by A.E. Jensen✨

I’m still emotional after finishing this one. 😭❤️ Anja has a way of writing romances that feel so safe—full of softness, tenderness, and characters who make each other feel truly seen. Caleb and Kayden completely stole my heart. Kayden especially… I wanted to give him the biggest hug every time his insecurities crept in. 🥹 Protect him at all costs.

As someone who’s not trans, I can’t speak to the authenticity of the representation, but this book genuinely helped me understand gender dysphoria and the emotional impact of things like deadnaming and being misgendered. It was handled with so much empathy, and I walked away with a deeper appreciation for experiences I hadn’t fully understood before. The chemistry (especially the anonymous online messages 👀🔥), the emotional depth, and that beautiful HEA had me smiling through tears by the end. This is easily one of my favorite romances of the year. 💙✨

✨ARC Review - The Monster and the Sinner by C.P. Harris✨

5⭐️ 3🌶️ | OUT NOW

Why does it feel like every time I pick up a C.P. Harris book, I’m shattered into a million pieces… only to be slowly put back together again? 😭💔❤️‍🩹 Her stories heal something in me while also leaving me yearning for more. At this point, it’s an addiction, tbh.

I don’t want to post any spoilers here, so the TLDR; Gabriel, a hopelessly in-love mercenary vampire, literally moves mountains and swims across the seven seas 🖤🩸 to finally reunite with his beautiful, pure souled, golden-hearted mate, Nicholas. 🥹✨

How does it even feel to be loved like this? 🥺 Does this kind of love exist in real life? I know, I know… it’s fiction. 😂 But man… if it’s not like this, I don’t want it! 🤷🏻‍♀️❤️

Do yourself a favor and pick up this book. 📖✨ I promise you won’t be able to put it down until you’re DONE. Please check TWs before reading.

Every Jesse book leaves me aching to live in her worlds — this one was no different. Nobody writes pining like her, and it’s my ultimate kryptonite 🥹💔. Teddy & Sev’s love felt like gravity — painful, inevitable, and so, so beautiful.

And special mention — Mae. Such an amazing side character. Everyone needs a Mae in their lives 💕🧀 (charcuterie board scene = my heart). I’ve a detailed review on Goodreads if you’re interested!
