Da Nang was always popular but I remember when Da Nang was not extremely packed with foreigners 😭 but now, almost every signage has English, Chinese and Korean translations. The hotels and restaurants being built are endless, the languages heard on the street have more Western sounds than local. Plus, wdym there are more malatang shops now 🧍🏻‍♀️observations aside, its fun to just sit on the beach and do nothing with friends. To eat without rushing to the LRT, to drink cold drinks every day because I try my best to not drink it too often on work days. A well rested trip with affordable food too. So, if you want a place to just chill on the beach and makan, Da Nang is the place to go.

This weekend has been one of the most magical weekends I've had in my life. If I were to describe this weekend with one word, it would be the term, love.

Here's a quick run down of what happened:
1) Attended one of my best friend's wedding.
2) Watched Day6 live in KL with my sister, mum and dad! My parents had a blast HAHA
3) During the Day6 concert, my cousin got engaged!

This weekend reminded me that love truly IS everywhere but we forget that sometimes.

Love is trinkled down in so many ways. It's in the fruits that my mum puts into my bag, its in the kpop merch I share with my sister. It's also in the birthday cake you get for your friends and the gaze between my friend and her husband on their wedding day.

I've also felt Day6's love through their performances and their speaking segments. Been listening to them since high school days and didn't get a ticket in 2024 so my videos were corrupted by my voice. They performed with all their hearts and Mydays singing Hurt Road back to them was beautiful.

I'm surrounded by so much love and yet I crave for a different kind of love on some days HAHA

Anyways, cheers to an awesome start of 2026!

The sound of motorbikes honking, the first sip of ca phe sua da, the sight of styrofoam boxes and the smell of serai as air refreshner. These are the small things that I miss but the smell I missed the most is our old apartment and it's something I can't reach.

Its kinda poetic that the new family in our old home is a korean family with 2 young daughters : , ) is it fate that our home was always meant for families with 2 daughters?

To the 2 new kiddos in our old home,
I hope Saigon will be the home that you didn't know you needed. I hope that you will find joy in hearing the vendor speakers calling out banh bao at 6am or you may find comfort in the song that plays when vehicles reverse

It's been 8 years since I've stanned BTS and this is the first time I saw one of them in concert! It was beautiful to see that everyone in the stadium came from all over the world. I also saw lots of old people with their lightsticks and I'm reminded that their lyrics truly speaks to everyone. They are the only group that truly resonated with me and I'm grateful that they're in my life. 😭
(I still dream of BTS coming to Malaysia tbh, even though the chances are extremely low...)

After my family flew home, I went back to my room and realized I was alone... in a foreign country... in winter which I've never experienced before. It was weird and lowkey lonely. Few days later, I met some online friends turned uni mates. Felt a little out of place coz I've never been to Seoul before but others did. I thought : How am I gonna bond with these people? I WAS WRONG. As I met more uni mates, housemates and old high schoolmates, things got easier! Picnics at the han river, sitting on the balcony of banapresso, kpop things (the wildest story i hv is haruto from boys planet passing by me and my friends HAHA), drinking on our rooftop (never drank this much alcohol my whole life), doing photobooths, going to 노래방 at 1am, seeing cherry blossoms and just being on efficient public transport were my favourite things to do in Seoul. I wish I could do it all over again with the same people :( I need to get used to the fact that I won't see my friends every day anymore. Hopefully we'll see each other again some day because the 3 months flew by too fast.
*1 week was wasted coz I got the coronies + bronchitis 2 weeks before the coronies from hiphopplaya fest, I WAS PISSED. Coughing was literally my personality at one point.* by @meesuaaa

What are the chances a concert would be held during chinese new year week? I had to take the chance and wear a cheongsam HAHA. I'm so glad that Yangyang's family flew down here to host a CNY reunion dinner for them. Wayv hanging out at Hendery's sister's cafe, going to Pavi, doing all these things without interruptions. I hope that they felt like home here, even if its just those 2 days 2 nights. I'm just so happy I got to see my wayv boys perform :( their set was short but they gave it their all. It was weird when the pitch sounded like chipmunks at the arena, they didn't fix the issue but in my phone, it sounded right surprisingly.
