Bullet Heart gives me such a 90s retro video game vibe. Simple, addictive, and full of nail-biting decisions. One of my top solo games.

Dune: Imperium solo is seriously addictive.

One of the best solo experiences for area control, tactical battles and that constant fight for dominance. The tension, the decisions, the battles for Arrakis — even against an AI, it feels like a proper war for the Imperium.

With everything in so far, this one keeps hitting the table. And I can’t wait to try Bloodlines!

The spice must flow.

Dune: Imperium, Uprising, Rise of Ix, Immortality… all in, and still coming back for more.

The intrigue, the deck-building, the worker placement, the battles for control of Arrakis - this universe just keeps delivering. Every game feels like a different fight for power.

Can’t wait to get my hands on Bloodlines and see what it brings to the table. The spice must flow.

Tried to introduce the wife to Wyrmspan. Apparently, replacing her favourite Wingspan was never going to happen.

So, solo mode it is. Just me, my dragons, and a marriage where Wingspan remains undefeated.

Tang Garden feels like a more aesthetic, zen take on Carcassonne. Instead of building medieval towns and roads, you’re piecing together a beautiful Chinese garden, tile by tile.

The puzzle is simple but satisfying — every placement changes the landscape, the views and your scoring opportunities. And by the end, you’ve created something that genuinely looks like a little garden.

One of those games where the table presence is almost as enjoyable as playing it.

One of those games that looks intimidating on the table but becomes surprisingly satisfying once everything clicks. Love the mix of dice placement, card combos and exploring the map, lots of little decisions every turn.

And honestly, it looks pretty damn good on the table too. 😍

Picked up all Wingspan expansions, ditched the Nesting Box and went with 3D printed inserts to fit everything for all 4 expansions neatly.

Honestly, look at how satisfying this setup is. Isn’t it neat!

Five Tribes. An old gem that still looks and feels amazing.

The Arabian Nights vibe, colourful markets, Djinns and desert setting give this game so much charm. It feels like stepping into an old Arabian tale every time it hits the table.

Back when dudes on the map kind of games were just starting to get some real traction, Mezo stood out for one reason above all: those massive figures.

The sheer size, detail and build quality were absolutely next level. Even now, I honestly think the big minis in Mezo still surpass some of the latest releases in terms of sculpting and overall quality.

It’s one of those games that reminds you why you got into the hobby in the first place. Huge table presence, ridiculous production quality and miniatures that make you stop and look at them.

Some games age well. Mezo’s minis have aged really well.

Tonight’s table
Wingspan + good food + a slow evening = pretty much perfect.

Andromeda’s Edge 🤌

I love a massive game, and this one absolutely delivers. The solo AI is surprisingly smooth — no fiddly bot upkeep, just straight into the action.

Played my first game against Level 1 and took the win. Since the table was already set up, I came back the next morning and thought, Let’s try Level 3

Yeah… it absolutely annihilated me. 😂

Setup and packing this beast away can be a mission, but for a game this huge, it’s totally worth the effort.
