What a lovely google review from one of my clients who has been coming to my group classes!

Rebecca joined us about 2 months ago, and her enthusiasm and progress have been phenomenal!

Being a working mum, I understand the strains and stresses of life as I am in the same boat as you!

That is why I ensure that the community I am building benefits my ladies because it's not just about looking good and getting fitter and stronger but also about our mental health.

Meetafit is a place where there is no judgement, only motivation and support!

Would you like to be part of such a community?

I've made some new connections here so I thought I'd do a post to say hello and introduce myself.

My name is Meeta, I work full time in the corporate world and am mum to this gorgeous boy! (Biased I know!)

I always knew I wanted children and if life had gone the way I had planned it (which it never does!) I would have had children in my 20s but that wasn't the case.

I am Indian and my parents of that generation really weren't into exercising so it's not something I have grown up with but did lots of sports at school like tennis, badminton and lacrosse.

I got into the gym when I started working but possibly didn't appreciate the true benefits of it until we started trying for a family.

It didn't happen easily and it was a long and emotional journey with lots of heartache and tears but the one thing that kept me sane was exercising. However, the entire journey had a huge impact on my mental health too which I didn't realise until last year.

Coupled with this I was also looking after my elderly parents which again was a full time job in itself but one I would never ever change!

Anyway, wind forward to 2018 when this monkey came into our world and totally changed me. I knew I wanted children but the love that I felt for this baby was at another level and even I didn't know I could love someone so much.

However, the one thing I struggled with was making time for myself to exercise because my son was my focus and by the time my husband came home I was too exhausted. I also had a bit of post natal depression which wasn't picked up by the health care professionals and that impacted me more than I realised.

That's when I started Meetafit - a community for mums that could bring their children with them to exercise and meet like-minded women where we could share our frustrations and stories.

Fitness and mental health are my passion because i have realised the massive benefits these have for us. Fitness means different things to everyone and if you'd ask me in my 20s it would have been to look a certain way, whereas now it's about living a healthy lifestyle, being a role model to my son and feel the best I can within myself.

There’s something empowering about realizing that healthy habits have become my new normal. ⬇️

From choosing nutritious meals to fitting in daily exercise, these routines have transformed not just my body, but my entire outlook on life.

Making health and wellness a priority hasn’t just made me feel better physically—it’s elevated my mood, boosted my energy levels, and given me the resilience I need to tackle each day with gusto. As a mum, this shift has been particularly meaningful.

Remember, it’s never too late to start prioritizing your health. Start small, stay consistent, and watch as these habits become your new baseline for a happier, healthier you.

🌅 Rise and shine, everyone my fellow mummas! 🏃‍♀️☀️

Did you know that something as simple and free as walking or running at sunrise can significantly improve your mental health?

Research shows that being outdoors and exposed to natural light early in the day can reduce symptoms of depression, lower stress levels, and alleviate anxiety. This daily dose of sunlight helps regulate your body’s internal clock, promoting better sleep patterns and boosting your mood throughout the day.

Engaging in physical activity like walking or running further enhances these benefits by releasing endorphins, our body’s natural mood lifters. Combining exercise with the peaceful ambiance of a sunrise creates a powerful synergy for mental and emotional health.

So, let’s make it a goal to incorporate sunrise walks or runs into our routines. The important thing is to prioritize this time for yourself—a time to recharge, destress, and start your day with positivity.

Who’s ready to join me? 🙌🏼

It’s about what really matters. ❤️

Think about having more energy, feeling strong and capable in your body, having a healthy gut that keeps you feeling good inside, getting deeper, restful sleep, being in a better mood, and finding that inner peace that keeps you grounded. It’s not just about a number—it’s about how you feel inside and out.

Let’s shift our focus to what truly makes us healthier and happier every day.

Double tap if this resonates with you.

This is too good not to share,

Every choice you make, every step you take toward your health, your family's well-being, and your personal growth, leads you exactly where you are meant to be. Each decision—whether it's committing to a workout routine, prioritizing self-care, or making time for loved ones plays a vital role in shaping your journey.

Take on every decision as an opportunity for growth and learning. Even if a choice leads to challenges or unexpected outcomes, it provides invaluable lessons and insights. These experiences shape your resilience and wisdom, empowering you to face future decisions with confidence and clarity.

Remember: life gets better when you realize that every decision, big or small, guides you toward fulfillment and purpose. Trust in your choices, trust in your journey, and celebrate the incredible woman you are becoming.❤️
