“As you begin your Wholehearted journey, the greatest gift that I can give to you is to live and love with my whole heart and to dare greatly. I will not teach or love or show you anything perfectly, but I will let you see me, and I will always hold sacred the gift of seeing you. Truly, deeply, seeing you.” ❤️❤️ Lots of rest and tears and snuggles over here with our little family of 4. by @meg.verticchio
Happy third birthday to our beautiful girl. 2 to 3 has been incredible, and I’m so lucky to be her mama. 🥹 Everyone says this, but she really is something special. by @meg.verticchio

Everen is 2 and unabashedly loves cake. And we love her more and more. by @meg.verticchio
18 months with this talkative, brave, busy, opinionated, strong girl. I read something recently that people commonly use 5 similar adjectives to describe girls vs boys- words like “sweet” or “kind.” Ev is sometimes sweet, often kind or courteous (she’s a baby, after all), but I would never want to miss seeing her for who she really is, or encourage her to be something she isn’t. This will also be a friendly reminder to myself when she wants to wear stupid clothing or really likes something that I do not. 🙃 Part of the same thing I read was that people are often more careful with their daughters vs their sons so I’ve also been trying to let her climb higher on the playground, as in, let her decide how careful she wants to be for herself (within reason)… and it’s like having a heart attack every time. What a love I have for her ❤️ Also, yes, she’s holding a worm, and yes, she did try to eat it, which unfortunately, I could not allow 😅 by @meg.verticchio
In the mornings when we wake up, Matthew looks at Ev, looks at me, and often says “she’s still a baby today.” Lately, as she’s been springing up and out of bed to stand up, and walk, he’s been saying it less and less. Lately it’s been, “You grew! We talked about this…” Happy first birthday, to my always baby, who’s maybe just a little older than she was the day before. by @meg.verticchio
