This is the kind of thing my little brain decides it needs to make. Fortunately, between the brilliant performances of @amyztemies @maxsilvestri and @olenolen the clever cinematography by @locksy the rich production design of @jkornacka the lush score of @badproducer the timing and editing prowess of @brownmandy the stylish costumes by @ericaricecruz the dedication and ingenuity of @nicoledisson producing, and of course, the brilliant words of Mr Herzog himself that inspired this whole thing, I think it was right! September 18th this twisted bit of lunacy drops! Congrats again to @locanilla and @alexheller and the incredible cast for just nailing this. So proud to be a part of making this film happen (even just a little bit). Go see this movie – the power of spite compels you! by @mega8s

First off, no I just suffer from resting hangover face.

Secondly- thank you to The Musical team! Thank you Sundance!Thank you Park City!

What an experience- to be at the last one in its original home, and with such a marvelously demented movie, to be able to make new friends, learn, and come away inspired to be making movies (no easy task in 2026!).

Who’s behind the mysterious drones hovering over America?

Watch my new short Oversight on @FilmShortage. (Link in my bio.)

It’s a dark comedy thriller shot entirely on a drone from the drone’s POV. In the short, a gay couple notices a mysterious drone hovering over their deck. At first, they think it’s just their neighbor’s kid being annoying. But then they discover it’s “supposed” to be there.

We shot this over a year ago as a warning and now it feels like we’re about 5 minutes away from living in it.

We (@mega8s, @guess_honesty, @olenolen, @kempbald) made a little short film shot entirely from a drone’s POV. And now Oversight is premiering at the BAFTA- and Oscar-qualifying @outonfilm festival in Atlanta Fri, Oct 4th, 7:15 PM @ Landmark’s Midtown Art Cinema. If you’re around, grab tickets and come through. (Link in bio)

It’s playing in the horror block. It’s a bit of that, and bit of a dystopian satire and dark-comedy, and a bit of a thriller. And maybe even a love story. Whaaaa?

In Oversight a gay couple notices a drone hovering near their apartment’s deck. Initially, they think it just belongs to the kid next door. But they soon find out it’s “supposed” to be there. Whaaaaaaaaaaa???

I’ve always stated to anyone that would listen how the city of Seattle stands alone in its sophistication, discerning tastes, and insistence on only the best - whether it be charming downtown fish markets, or fomenting massive exploitative retail conglomerates. Whatever it is, if Seattle wants it, it must be the best.

So it is with the utmost humility and grace I announce that… we in SIFF bitches!!!!

So excited for @audenbui marvelously stupid short A.A. to be released into the world as a part of the 50th edition of the Seattle International Film Festival aka @siffnews

We’ll be heading up there around the 16th or so, and hope to see some of you there! by @mega8s
