there are now two parts of my life: with you and without you.

for those of you that didn’t know her (or didn’t know her very well), madie was the literal light of my life. we were supposed to be best friends forever. she was the one who kept me going on my worst days. she asked me how my day went every. single. day. at 9pm, even after we both left for college. she was the first to notice something was wrong and the first to cheer me up on a bad day. she randomly bought us flowers. she wrote us little notes. she drove me to casey’s every single day after summer school just so we could talk more. she tried her best to make as many softball games as she could. she put a smile on my face without fail. she was writing a 220k word novel that still isn’t finished. and i could listen to her talk about it for days, she loved it with every fiber of her being. she embraced every moment she had: goodbyes took twenty minutes and a “here it’s cold come sit in my car with me.” she CARED about our little circle more than i thought a teenage girl was capable of. she was my inspiration. and i loved her for every second i had her. i still love you, madie grace. give heaven hell for us. by @megan.asher88
