Dear Cooper,

While most see you as just a dog, you are the light of my life. My greatest blessing. My best friend. The reason I am the person I am today. The reason I stand here today.

You may “just” be a dog, but you taught me just how much louder actions speak than words. You’ve never said a word to me but I’ll never in a million years doubt your love and loyalty to me. You taught me the importance of patience and the amazing things that can come from it. You even helped me discover a passion for working with dogs. Without you I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

Your birthday was just the other day, you turned 4 years old. I found that your lymph nodes were swollen and 2 days later took you to the vet to find out that you have lymphoma. I don’t know how much time you have left in this world. But I will cherish every last second I get with you. You’re the last dog on the planet that deserves this. You’re the best boy there will ever be. No other soul could replace the spot in my heart that you’ll forever hold my sweet boy.

I love you endlessly, I cannot wait to see you again someday pig, just wait for me okay?

Sincerely,
“Your kid” by @megan_em06
