One year ago today I wrote these words and they still feel like the most accurate description of life. So sharing them again to remind you that - life shows up when you show up.

'THE ONE WHERE SHE ASKED FOR MORE ✨️

It's rare I think - this season of growth.

More often than not, we find our paths earlier in life through the small-windowed perspective we have of the world, mixed in with the influence of those around us. Most of the time, we end of following in rutted tracks from those who have walked before us. What’s expected of us becomes a pillar in the way we choose to show up in the world.

It's rare I think - asking for more.

Reaching for a life you *know* exists, you just haven't found a clear path forward yet. You keep searching anyways until you realize that the road you're meant to travel is one entirely built by you and your desire for more.

More life, more memories, more experiences. More pillars for the legacy you'll leave behind one day.

Committing to the promises you make yourself and showing up to life is not for the faint of heart. It means outgrowing environments and people and a life you thought you'd feel comfortable in forever.

Growth is not comfortable.

But accepting that call to adventure and leaning into the unknown is the most powerful, certain and peaceful decision I've made in my entire life.

Life shows up when you show up.'

A whole new world of creative visuals opened up when @ajmassaro75 gifted me my drone last Fall.

I'll be honest, it sat on the shelf for a few months before I was brave enough to try it. I'm not sure why but I thought I'd crash it first flight. But once I got over that initial fear, I became hooked.

What a gift it is to see the remarkable landscape around home from this view.

15 SECONDS FLAT 👏

Our favorite thing about our @gooverlandcanada x @marlon_products set-up is the ability to bring the e-bikes with us on the deck, then just take them off when we get where we're going and pop open up the tent. Add the stairs and we're ready to rock.

Whether it's a trip to the island, or exploring our backyard of interior BC - this is the dream set up, without the sacrifice of ground floor tenting.

Tending to the plants and flowers, while tending to my heart.

A perfect pairing of growth both rooted in reaching for more. More nourishment, more sunlight, more life.

I'm not sure we quite knew the fullness this space would provide when we planned out our little backyard oasis this past spring. Looking at the jungle of what the yard was, to now - a space to get lost in. A space to feel whole in.

A space I can heal in.

Adventure isn't always about going farther.
Sometimes it's about slowing down enough to feel where you are.

After a day of surfing, hiking, beachcombing, or simply soaking in the wild beauty of the West Coast, stepping into this handcrafted cedar barrel sauna at Surf Grove feels like the perfect reset. Surrounded by rainforest, followed by a cold rain shower and ocean air... it's the kind of hot-cold ritual that leaves you feeling completely restored.

If you ask me, it's a Tofino camping essential 🌊🔥

I think it takes a few days to sink back into life after a week like we just had on the island.

SO many moments of absolute bliss, of heavenly views. An abundance of good food and even better company, @ajmassaro75 ♡ Memories we already can't stop talking about, and ones I know we'll look back on for the rest of our lives.

So while van island recaps are about take over my feed, I thought I'd start with this..

A single shot full of gratitude.

crabbin' in the bass boat 🦀

somehow we always end up on the coolest adventures together with zero plans set in stone. what started as an island trip to recharge, is turning into the greatest fishing/crabbing/boating adventures we've had yet.
