Dear @dirtylittlesecretsimprov, you wonderful thing, you! You changed my life back in 2014, months into motherhood w a delightful baby while I pounded the pavement yearning to act while working retail. Enter @dasenpearce who tricks me into auditioning- by saying we’ll be hanging with some people and “seeing what happens”. I show up to a dank basement to wonders @itsminto @captainkirkley @laurluxx and meet @dandumsha and later @seriuqs fresh from Vancouver. Most of you studied under @dieagressivestylez at the @pitimprov. @dirtylittlesecretsimprov is born in NYC after starting its life in Vancouver. A special thanks to @dandumsha! We play in a Mexican restaurant, @niagaranyc, @hartbarnyc post pandemic and now at the lovely Wara Theatre at 67 1st Ave back in Manhattan. Along the way we’ve gotten @ingeborgie reading secrets, @emdashes on sound, new players @melfro28 @andrew.adamietz @pedroblee @tahliasworld and @dieagressivestylez to join our cast and more and more unbelievable secrets from our audience to inform our show. Our latest crew includes @kicknerdly @springthorpeman @jenbergum Marcelo on improv and @ameliarandolphcampbell and @maurafindsgold on secrets and @justincschilling on sound. We’ve had marriages, 3 kids, boyfriends, girlfriends, pets, deaths, pandemics, strikes, weird ass politics and a lot of life between us. My baby is nearly 11 now and wears cologne. We’ve been through A LOT together and mostly so much laughter, joy, heart and saying YES to it all. THANK YOU, @dirtylittlesecretsimprov for everything.

Love, Megan 💋

Please join us 10/20 @7:30 PM, 67 1st Avenue in NYC to commemorate a #decade of our show.

What an incredibly whirlwindy, heartfelt, collaborative, creative, funny and gorgeous experience it was to be a part of this sweet, authentic and charmer of a film that is #parsleydays. For 10 days in the August after I graduated from @dalhousieu , myself, @michaelsonofpaul @misternobu @marciasnaps and many more lovely Canadians were in the gaze and wisdom of the brilliant and warmest of visionaries: #writer #director and #filmmaker @dorfmanorama. It was my first time on set, I don’t know if I slept, I tried to sneak red lipstick on between takes, I trusted, I opened, I flubbed and got to try again. I laughed and cried my face off and it was a delirious sort of magic that I’ve since learned is rare. A year later “Parsley Days” premiered at @tiff_net and then at @atlanticfilmfest @viffest @cinefestsudburyiff and other festivals in America, @ifccenter + @psfilmfest It was funded by the lovely folks @telefilm_canada and shown on airplanes. #parsleydays was released in cinemas by @mongrelmedia , and shot on 35 and 16mm #film. It has a soundtrack of exceptional Canadian musicians The Heavy Blinkers, @inbredsmusic @innervoicemike @julie.e.doiron @sloanmusic and @michaelsonofpaul + @misternobu ‘s Rick of the Skins and @michaelsonofpaul ‘s SlowLover. There will be a 25th anniversary (holy shit!) screening at @atlanticfilmfest this upcoming Saturday at 2:45, Park Lane Theatre 6 in Halifax and it’s free! I will be there as will Mike and Andrea after for a Q+A. Thank you, especially to Andrea ❤️🩵 and the whole cast and crew for making this stunning gem of a film, and to @atlanticfilmfest for hosting this screening. Shareable link coming soon! ✨🎞️✨ taken in Halifax, Nova Scotia by @megandi
