BIG NEWS: I made a graphic novel! And on October 16th we (@contestedstrip ) will be launching a Kickstarter where you can pre-order a copy! Link in Bio.

The book is called One More Year and it's a classic underdog sports story about a team of misfits and try-hards who try to "hack" ultimate frisbee and win a national championship. Spoiler: it's good and it's not just for ultimate players. If you like sports comedies like Ted Lasso and The Mighty Ducks, then this book is for you too.

This project is 240 pages and 4 years in the making! And I couldn't have done it without my incredible writing partner, Meghan "Rho" Kemp-Gee. Every drawing I make is better because of her.

@tofuthebold was our colorist and they truly brought this book to life. Collaborating with them was amazing and I keep telling them we get SO MANY compliments on the colors.

@richardmercz did inks and colors on a whole section of the book and also helped us do backgrounds. We felt so lucky to have him, as he is in the process of making HIS OWN graphic novel rn. He's an incredible artist and I feel honored that he lent his talents to our book.

It was a joy to enlist some of my other friends, such as @shootzee and @mb_art21 . Jeff a two-page section of the book and it's SO GOOD 🐉. And Mason's inking integrated seamlessly into the rest of the book, he has such depth as an artist.

Other guest artists include Kayton Uvick, @brentstagram3 @ mudavaye @lnzdesigns @hey.eunjoo and I feel both grateful and honored that they contributed their talents and skills to help us make the best book we could!

Beyond that, thank you to @dangerlamp for being our initial collaborative spark and friend, and thank you to everyone who read the book, gave us feedback and cheered us on along the way.

And to the ultimate community: this is for YOU. 💖💖💖

Love,
Megan

Love/Hate/Trust the process. True in sports, true in art. Was going through some of my old drawings today and it brought me a lot of joy. Iterating is fun, process is growth. And while there's a lot of reward in completing something and sharing it, the process is what fuels me for the next thing.

Technology is great, but AI art cuts to the finish line. You miss out on so much along the way. I love making art, I love the collaboration, and I can't say I love being messy and failing, but it happens. It's human.

Anyways, to whoever needs to hear it today, keep making art. Real Human Art. ✨

Read a new comic featuring Megan & Meghan: PASSING IN THE NIGHT!

Love isn't easy... especially if you're a sleep-deprived medical resident who's dating were-dragon.

When Ruth gets kidnapped by a mysterious entity under the city park, it's up to her type-B shapeshifter girlfriend to save the day.

Passing in the Night is now on Kickstarter! A sweet, funny love story about choosing togetherness.

Written by Meghan Kemp-Gee, with lettering by Megan Praz and art by Lane Lloyd.

Celebrating my 2 year anniversary of playing football! I feel so lucky I get to play this game!

This one goes out to all of the teammates and friends who have caught my passes, ran routes, played defense, challenged me, taught me, still loved me when I wasn't at my best, and everyone who believed in me as a QB. This journey has been incredible and I'm so grateful to everyone who's been a part of it. I love this sport and my LA community✨💖🫶 🏈 Here's to more growth, games, & good times!
