I made Chicken Parmesan today. Sometimes I make the same thing over and over if a menu hits. But I never get tired of the classics.

BTW, Congratulations to my former Boss, Zak Pelaccio.
His restaurant, Leo's s Santa Fe, is one of the top 50 restaurants in the US.

In these times that is amazing and no one deserves it more. He was a huge inspiration to me and working at 5 Ninth and Fatty Crab was so fun I did not realize how much I would carry forward.

The best compliment I ever received was the day he hired me and said I was classic and my Sticky Toffee Pudding was perfect.
NYT published it as the dessert have if you were in the Meatpacking district for dinner.

My goal next is to be a boss as creative and kind. I have been really lucky to work with awesome people. by @megansusannahmoore

Next week, phew. We did it. School started. High holidays are over. We can breathe. Recipe development for the next holiday season has started.

This week, I am looking for flavors that entice both the eye and the palate.

Malaysian meatball lettuce wraps are juicy and flavored with classic makrut lime, garlic, chilies, and fish sauce then hand rolled and served with a savory chili sauce. Cucumber salad is just the right thing to serve with it as it's rice wine vinaigrette creates the perfect bite wrapped in a crisp lettuce leaf .

For the Steak Bites we go to N and K and select a thick juicy steak to sear in garlic butter. Pimenton Potatoes drizzled with Aioli is just* chef' s kiss".

As a client just told me " thank you for making my week, the food was just delicious. "

Today was challenging but I rose to the challenge. Foraging in suburbia happens more frequently than not when I have groceries delivered.
I would also like to say, I spend so much time checking for recalls now. I would like to be able to stop that as I have never seen so many , although recalls do happen.
I have salad from Gotham Greens. But it would be nice to just ...male a salad. No drama. A nice vinaigrette.
But today I had to look for Gotham Greens and apparently so is everyone else.
Good.

Our last dinner in Saugerties was a happy happy surprise after an emotional day.
Beautiful food, attentive and warm service. The best Paloma I ever had. A Matcha cocktail that actually was creative and delicious. A good combination for sure.

I found the perfect spot to carefully lay my Dad's ashes. My sisters were with me in spirit and I felt so peaceful after so much time passed.

My Dad died of COVID and I was not with him. He deserved better than he got but the Hudson River was our favorite place as a young family. Every season had a rhythm and something beautiful ❤️.

This past two weeks , Mother Nature showed off and even though it rained almost every night, the days were golden and soft.
We drove through all the small country roads and the small towns I remember.
My girls were just wild and free and now my grief is replaced in part by the happiness I got to share my special place with my young family. taken in Olsen & Company by @megansusannahmoore

I have no idea how I missed the most amazing place, Opus 40.
The sculptor was just amazing and it was terrifying for me with adventurous kids but I kept my mouth shut because the freedom was the point. The swirls of stone walls just tickled my brain and reminds me that my favorite part of the Hudson Valley is the artists.
