🙃 You do NOT want to spend November and December creating incredible content that nobody ever receives so make sure you follow this blacklist check before you send your next email. Here's what I learned the VERY expensive way (to the tune of $70k+)... A bigger email list does NOT automatically mean more clients. You can have 5,000 subscribers, incredible emails, and an amazing offer... But if your emails are going to SPAM? Those people might never even know you're selling something. And even if your emails ARE getting delivered, there's another problem. Are people actually opening them? Clicking? REPLYING? 🚨 I have 7,600 people on my email list... and we just discovered only 986 are actually receiving my emails. 😵‍💫 I wish I were kidding. I spent $70K+ growing my email marketing ecosystem, and for 11 MONTHS, my domain was blacklisted without me knowing. But here's what makes this even crazier... My open rates dropped from around 40% to 10%. And instead of realizing my emails weren't getting delivered, I thought my MARKETING was the problem. Maybe my subject lines weren't good enough. Maybe my emails weren't interesting enough. Maybe I needed to niche down. So I worked on ALL of those things. 😹 Meanwhile, thousands of people were opting into my webinars and NEVER receiving the emails. During my last launch, 274 people registered for my webinar, and my email deliverability was a DISASTER. 🔥 Tracea is about to cross $200K in all-time business revenue and about a YEAR ago, she had just crossed $100K. 🤯🎉 I want you to know what happened BEFORE those numbers. When Tracea first started working with me, ONE social media post could take her HOURS. She'd post... then sometimes need another 2–3 WEEKS before she could get herself to do it again. 😵‍💫 She knew she was incredible at what she did. 🔥 I have 7,400+ people on my email list... and I'm going back to tracking my leads in a GOOGLE SPREADSHEET. 😹 Not a fancy CRM. Not another complicated automation. A spreadsheet. Because one of the biggest lessons from this email reputation disaster is that I got way too focused on MORE. More leads. More subscribers. More webinar registrations. Meanwhile, I wasn't doing something I literally teach my clients to do: Know your people. Who have you talked to? What do they sell? What are they working toward? When did you last talk? Who needs a follow-up? 🔥 You probably don't need as many new leads as you THINK you do. You may need to do a better job building relationships with the people already around you. So as I rebuild my email reputation, we're starting with the people who are actually receiving my emails. When someone replies, we're tracking them in a simple spreadsheet. I'm personally reading their responses + replying. I want to know their offer, goals + what they're actually trying to build. Because your leads are not numbers in a CRM. They're PEOPLE. This is something we teach throughout the Solopreneur Academy too. When you're building your first five figures, you need to learn how to start conversations.
