One of my favourite commissions from a few months back. Swipe to last slide to see the original photo from my client. She asked for a turning wheat crop in the foreground of a favourite view on their farm

The light in this was everything.

I am releasing one final collection this year, so stay tuned for golden wheat crops and big open skies 🌾🌼

A little introduction 🌼

Making art is what I love. I've always enjoyed being creative from childhood, making and painting gifts and cards for my family and friends. Being a school teacher has allowed me to be creative in many ways, but since coming back painting more seriously in the last few years, I've learnt and grown so much.

I mostly paint Australian landscapes and anything to do with farm or bush life. Having lived in a small town in central Queensland for a number of years, the bush gets in your blood and now, although we don't live rurally, we explore whatever chance we get. The endless expanse of ever-changing sky and light and shadows at different times of the day provides me with never-ending inspiration and ideas!

Home consists of my forever-supportive husband, three awesome kiddos and studio buddy Rosie 🐶 My studio space is small and squishy, but it's always a hive of activity with some project or another on the go.

You'll find my work on my website (occassionally), or at various stockists, galleries and art fairs. Please get in touch anytime, I'd love to hear from you!

I'm so thankful to be able to do what I love as long as you'll have me!

My advice...
Buy what you love and want to look at everyday, not what matches the room decor or styling. Real, hand-made art gives your home a heart 🌿🎨

One more day to go until my spring collection can be seen in person hanging alongside so many talented artists at the Affordable Art Fair in Sydney with @stevensstreetgallery

"Spring Song" 100x76cm is a favourite piece of mine and is inspired by the beautiful Aussie landscape in spring, and of course, our iconic flowering jacarandas 🌿💜

If you're interested, please go and see these pieces in person, as photos never quite do justice to the vibrant colour and texture of original art. by @megfrancesart

One old brush, one afternoon, one landscape. It was quite the exercise to relax and force myself to keep things loose and flowing and not get too hung up on the details.

Glad I did, love the feel of this one.

This was quite the challenge! I really wanted to keep things loose and flowing and not get bogged down in details.

I actually love the feel of this piece so much, and that it still feels like me and my style.

What do you think?

Send me a message for details 😊

Pre-Sale is now live until tomorrow (Sun 1st) at 5pm for subscribers @stevensstreetgallery before this spring collection treks south to Sydney for the last @affordableartfairau of the year!

Inspired by the beautiful, unique colours of spring in rural Australia, these landscapes are full of vibrant colour and texture and I can't wait to see where they find their new homes.

If you see something you like, contact Stevens Street Gallery, or visit in person at the art fair!

One of my most loved country garden paper prints now available as a limited edition embellished canvas print. Only 2 available!

I had a lot of fun hand-embellishing these to add a unique dimension and transforming it into a one-of-a-kind painting.

"Garden Gate"
33x43cm,
framed in solid oak, ready to hang.

On my website now 🌼🌸 by @megfrancesart

I painted this piece at the start of this year. I rarely paint this big, but was so inspired by the beautiful landscape @brookhamptonroadfarm and I knew I had to put it on this canvas.

It is still looking for it's forever home. And that's ok, because it will be a special home. Sometimes art takes time to find the right person.

This is a statement piece and I'm just going to leave it here on the grid for now.

It's also up on my website, or send me a DM for details.
